Comment:
You will most likely get a C or worse in the class, does not matter how much you study. 2 exams throughout the year that will base your entire class grade. His reviews are not helpful, he didnt even give us the review answers. I am currently a senior and took this class freshman year to say that this is the worst professor at UNCW.

Don't take a class with this guy because you'll actually have to exhibit accountability, take initiative, actually read the textbook, and work hard, kinda like the way real life is. When you go to your first job, not including waiting tables or flipping burgers, the learning curve is going to be out of this world challenging. He prepares you.

By far my worst experience with a professor, whether he knows his stuff or not he will never tell it to you, if you end up getting this class might as well not go because lectures do not pertain to the TWO grades he has. Steer clear of him at all costs not worth your time, money, or frustration.

Robinson knows a lot about economics and is nice, but that doesn't make up for his teaching ability. In my class of 80 students, only about 12 show up on average. He gives you a lesson schedule at the beginning of the semester so you know what chapters to read; he follows it for about 2 weeks then goes all over the place. Don't take Robinson.

Though he is nice, he is a horrible teacher. There was a midterm and a final. The lectures last 15 minutes and are pointless because the test questions are highly interpretational and only vaguely retaliate to the lecture or book. Would not take this class or recommend him.

I've had great professors with awful reviews before, so I thought I'd give him a chance. But THIS IS THE WORST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. The biggest waste of time and 500$ of my life, makes me sick. 50 minute classes are often 10 mins. 2 grades total in the entire class. HORRIBLE

HORRIBLE TEACHER. I went to every lecture. His notes are everywhere. He forgets to add things and draws lines across the board to connect his notes. He forgets what he talks about and repeats and writes things twice. This man does not use any technology. Other administrators email you if class is cancelled. Opinionated and no concrete lesson plan.

Awesome guy with very insightful lectures, but he is very disorganized. I received an A with minimal effort but I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to get an A or D based on the randomness of his class. 10 2pg. essays for midterm and final, but they are double spaced and 14 font so not that bad. I would recommend him even tho others wouldn't

Dr. Robinson is a nice guy but I will never take a class with him ever again. He is very unorganized and his tests have nothing to do with the lectures. He also never tells you what your grade is so you literally get a surprise at the end of the year. Hopefully its an A.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH STEVE ROBINSON! You will have a midterm assignment of 15 essay topics and a final that is an additional 15 assignments. Even after sending to the writing center, still received a D. Very discouraging and confusing! He rambles and does not help with the essay topics. Should be fired!!!!

THE WORST TEACHER YOU WILL EVER TAKE. He has no idea what he's talking about half the time and the only grades he gives out are the midterm & final which consist of 15 ?s that you are required to write two pages for each. He wanted us to buy the book, but told us to use Google to get the info needed for the midterm and final..WORST EXPERIENCE

If you need economics as a core requirement, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! His lectures are repetitive and not mandatory. He fails the whole class, and MAY give a B as the highest grade. There's NO quizzes, homework that's graded, or tests. Only essay prompts with grammatical errors so you have no feedback..complete waste of time. Nice guy, bad teacher.

He means well, but is way too picky when it comes to word choice in essays. Midterm is 15 2page essays. He only grades 4 though. Sometimes he doesn't even understand his own questions. Very confusing. Unless you are an english major, don't take this class.

MOST USELESS TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. I would drop this class today if it were not required for my major but for now I suppose I'll begin writing the 15 opinion essays due for my midterm and then the other 15 due for my Final.

Dr. Robinson is a super nice guy but he cannot teach a basic class to save his life. The material is interesting but his lectures are pointless because all the material on the tests comes from the textbook. I still somehow got an A so all the stress was worth it.

Although a nice man, he has no idea how to teach. He shows up to class late and disorganized, which reflects very poorly on him (He even showed up 30 min late to the final because he was still making it) Tests will blindside you even though you think you have a grasp on the topics. Avoid Strongly and pick a better teacher.

Poor teacher, teaches based on his opinion and since he wrote the book it is essentially useless. didn't think I would find such a low caliber teacher in college however he is a very nice guy. Nonetheless, class is very boring, and the test have nothing to do with the lecture.
