If the subject doesn't interest you, you may fall asleep. I enjoyed the class and the professor knew the material very well. No papers, a few pop quizzes which I appreciated! Take this class with psyc 101 and you will retain the info and likely do better on both exams.

Dr. Auerbach is a nice guy, however is lectures are dull. The course covers easy material but it is very hard to sit through it. The in-class assignments WILL SAVE YOUR GRADE if you are on a borderline. Go to the TA reviews, do the extra assignments, try to sit through the class, work hard on the test.

Auerbach's lectures are dry but he is very knowledgable about the subject. Attendance is not mandatory but he gives in class assignments to help boost one's grade. 3 exams 60 questions, one extra credit opportunity and a bunch of information from exams on ppt slides. The book is not required.

Very boring. Found it difficult to pay attention. The class should be easy but I found the tests to be a little tricky. He gives in-class assignments randomly so try to go. Just make sure you study the slides. Didn't read the book at all.

BORING. BORING. BORING. Going to class was pretty tortuous. He isn't a loud speaker, and he speaks in the most monotone voice you will probably ever hear in your entire life. Study the power points. I found that some of the test questions came from the book, too. He offers extra credit, but like I said, he's SO BORING.

Super nice professor. But REALLY boring lectures. Attendance isn't mandatory and as long as you study the powerpoints, you will do fine.

I was really disappointed by this class. I was really looking forward to it, because the topic looked interesting. But he's so boring, hard to follow, and u can barely hear him even when he uses a mic. I didn't even bother buying the book, didn't need it or to go to class. I think after midterm, i just stopped going. very disappointing class.

This class is interesting. He is kind of boring, but you don't have to go to class- or even buy the book. I've gotten A's on all the tests by just studying the power points. He is super nice, too.

His lectures are horribly boring & he has no interest what so ever in what he is teaching. His tests are confusing & make no sense. The questions are often confusing & they don't cover material from the lectures. Attendance isn't mandatory so no one ever goes to class. Don't take him unless you want to ruin your GPA completely out of the blue.

Boring. Learned nothing. Don't buy book. You really don't need it plus he wrote it and expects you to buy it new so he can make money off you. Don't buy it. Tests are cake if you have the strength to attend every class. Skips around in slides so don't be surprised if you get lost. Psych majors need his class unfortuantely. Avoid otherwise.

dude is boring as all hell, but is a nice guy. you can get away with never coming to class if you read the powerpoints and the textbook and go to the exam review sessions. there's also a LOT of overlap from other psych classes, so less material to learn. easy A!

He was monotonously boring. The classroom was horrible and even while wearing a microphone he was monotone and quiet. He was not excited about what he was teaching. I wish I would've taken the other professor. I got a better grade than I was expecting, probably because he has to curve them because no one goes to class.

Auerbach definitely knows what he's talking about. Some of the info I learned will be applied outside of class. But, IDK if it was the classroom we were in, but it was so difficult hearing him lecture. Lectures can be boring, but attendance isn't mandatory. Tests are straightforward and he gives students an extra credit opportunity.

He is a really nice professor, but it is so hard to stay awake in his class! He obviously loves what he teaches--I mean, he did write the textbook--but he has a monotonous voice. The class is an easy A because his tests are very straightforward.

Prof Aurebach is okay. His class is pretty straightforward- come to class and take notes and read the textbook (since he is one of the authors). Dr. Aurebach is a pretty old guy, and some of the material he uses is kind of old, but the class is still pretty easy, and I've learned a lot of useful info.

Very smart teacher with lots of experience under his belt. Goes through notes pretty fast so try and keep up. Come to class AND read the book. Material is interesting and he shows movies and does relaxing techniques in class. Tests are from lectures (pay attention) and book (he wrote it). Nice guy and kinda funny at times.
