This professor cares more about being liked by students then educating them. At the end of the class you will level with a good grade but you would have not learned anything. Professor always acts as if he rather be somewhere else and his language and that of the students is disturbing. He allows a small group of students to control the class.

Michels is the man, end of story. If you're willing to read and want to engage in intelligent conversations in class, then you'll get so much out of class. He's got a great sense of humor and willingness to listen and change his ways if they don't work, but you have to be willing to commit, because the readings are dense and sometimes boring.

He is an absolutely AMAZING teacher who is enthusiastic about his subject. While some people do struggle with the material he covers, it is a 300 level college class. Pay attention to lectures, do the reading, participate, and do the assignments and you'll be golden. His sense of humor adds to the fun of the class as well. A's are attainable.

When I was registering for his class, most people that had him told me the highest anyone ever gets in his class is a C. I worked hard, went to see him about papers that were due (which helps the grade), and went to class, and I got a B+. He's not that bad, you just need to realize this IS COLLEGE and that more than just attendence is expected.
