Easy enough if you put in the time and effort. Video lectures are super boring and unpolished (lots of ums, uhs, and awkward pauses) but if you download and play at 1.5 speed they are manageable. There are 2 take home exams and 2 group work projects on top of weekly quizzes.

Seems he doesn't prepare or care at all. He shows up late almost all the time and just starts talking about whatever he feels like talking about. Then when he's had enough class ends, sometimes early, sometimes late. He is just mailing it in. Pretty easy though.

Just showed up to class, never read, got an A. He never really uses the textbook, so going to class is important. Do not think the material is all that hard, he sometimes jumps around during the lecture, but it is pretty easy to follow. Most people who do not like him and the class did not show up, which is the only way to get a good grade.

He is extremely boring ,and is a terrible teacher. He reads from the lecture and sometimes its so boring you want to blow your brains out. However the curves he gives you on the exams are outstanding. All three exams he curved were almost 20 percent curves. I received an 80 on a test and he curved it all the way to a 96. Just take him.

Comment:
This class was titled Money and Banking but Finance majors STAY AWAY. Will be an exact replica of Financial Institutions only in Economics theory terms. Terrible lectures that do not follow the book. Starts every class reading an article to you word by word. Complete waste of my time.

Scribbles on the board without content. Does not know how to teach math. Rambles. Seems angry. It's like he makes things up. Really unhelpful quizzes. Tests are hard, can't really study for them considering you don't use the textbook and his notes are sloppy. Great at curving though (but not a reason to take him).

Terrible professor. He spends the whole class period mumbling and scribbling on the board. He comes to class un-prepared and sometimes late. Tests and quizzes are extremely hard. He doesn't clarify. Class is a waste of time. I learn more sleeping than I do in class.

Absolutely brutal semester. Have never once used any of the material in those course in the real world. Course is taught as if you are after a MBA in econ. Avoid if at all possible. Very unaccommodating.

Comment:
A lot of work for a 2-credit class. The material is interesting but heavy on theory. No way around this. But, the professor delivery method is VERY dry and monotone. You would think after so many years as a professor, he would have taken steps to improve in this area. Overall, the class is interesting but the workload is of a 3-credit class.

Take this course if you want to learn. Book is good but video lectures really solidify the content. Professor is very helpful in answering and explaining questions via phone or email. Tests are challenging but you have ample time to complete them.

Dr.Glosser was very helpful with our group regression project. He provided timely, yet inconsistent feedback. I learned a lot about Statistics. His PowerPoints provide a solid blueprint for the quiz and exam questions.

Worst professor I've had. Very boring teacher. Often goes on tangents but he might include that information on the test. VERY strict about attendance, not allowed to reschedule an exam even with an excused absence.

I realize I'm biased as I love Money and Banking, but I think Prof. Glosser is absolutely fantastic! He's a great guy who teaches an interesting relevant subject. And, to top it all off, his jokes are awesome! I recommend Prof. Glosser for this class.

I can understand why people don't like him, but I really enjoyed his class. Though sometimes he could be unclear, he gave enough info for you to learn on your own. Not to mention he's a funny guy if you can appreciate dry humor.

I'm surprised so many people don't like Glosser. He is dry, but if you listen to his corny jokes most of them are pretty funny. He also has huge curves and is interactive with class.

Wouldn't be such a bad teacher if he didn't expect useless memorization. Tests were ridiculous, asked for #/% from charts/graphs shown in class once. Says you need to study bigger picture but then asks for exact facts. Doesn't really assign any hw, what he does assign he pretty much does for you. Doesn't help with learning material. DON'T TAKE HIM!
