As others have mentioned, her workload is significant BUT it's super easy! Honestly, everything comes straight from the book, there's really no guess work. She drops your 2 lowest quizzes and you don't have a midterm or final. But you do have to go to class, she's kinda a stickler on attendance. But I just colored through every class so no biggie.

Dr. Martin is the nicest person who really cares for her students. Homework assignments tend to be long, but that is pretty much the only work for that class. She is very easy going and brings in snacks for the class.

Dr. Martin is a really sweet lady. Her class isn't difficult but the work load is bad. You basically have to write a page for each question you had to answer for homework which isn't practical for a basic class. If it was American Political Thought, then I could see a page per question. Don't take her if you can but, it won't be the end if you must

I have taken Dr. Martin for PLSC 111, PLSC 250, and PLSC 351. I have never received less than a 98% in her class. I am a sub-3.0 student. Put it together. Anyone who complains about Dr. Martin is seriously just lazy. Do the work, get the grade. She is a sweet lady and really cares about her students.

Man, did I hate this class. The quizzes are on Webct, and all the questions are on small facts in the book. She puts notes up on the board, but they're pointless to write down because they're never on the quizzes. Her class is SO boring. I *hated* this class, and I can sit through most anything. I learned NOTHING about public policy. The person below is right, it's as if she's teaching a course on scoring a job in the public sector. I heard nothing relevant, and when something was relevant to the course, it was a paper or a debate, nothing related to what she taught. Don't do it.

Dr. Martin teaches with a very scattered manner; she jumps from subject to subject, and would prefer to tell you about her job experiences and how important it is to 'network' with people, rather than focus on material. Quizzes weekly, but they're on WebCT and are word for word from the book. If you can handle the boredom, its a pretty easy A.

Had her for her first semester teaching, so may have changed. But I felt like I had wasted my money. Most of the student knew more about public policy that she did, retaught same thing over and over, easy grade but not what I went to collge for, hope she has gotten better at her job.

To make it short and sweet, she is a wonderful professor. In the first week or so I learned a lot from her. The things that I had learned is this class is very useful especially for me being in the military I have much more knowledge about our government then I ever had. I see her as being one of the best professors anybody could ever take.
