Comment:

A great prof! Heard horror stories about research for social work students and Susan made this course one of my less stressful ones. Cares about her students, always willing to help, answers emails fast, GOOD teacher. Must attend class to do good though, and she is nit picky about her assignments. Overall, I wouldn't take research with another else

Prof lacks in good notes on power points so attending class is a MUST for notes / understanding anything posted by the prof, point form everything with 0 explanation otherwise. Class average was a 70% on the midterm so that tells you something. Prof will report you for academic misconduct (sharing notes ) and is anal so avoid.

I took the quantitative research class with Susan. Even though this can be a challenging course, Susan did a great job trying to set her students up for success by being very clear in her lectures, doing mock quizzes, and always inquiring if there are any questions. Not an easy course, but happy she was teaching it!

Comment:

At first, I didn't like her, but she is very cool. Her comments helped me a lot to improve my marks. Besides, she went an extra mile with our group organizing a special workshop for those who want to go to grad school. What I like about Susan most is her honesty: she'll let you know if you suck :-) Attendance is mandatory.

Very confusing boring style of teaching. She goes off topic a lot. at moments seems very helpful and easy going.. but dont get comfy. marking time shes unpredictable. you may feel like you are doing well to begin, but your grades can quickly go down. content relavent but she makes it unattractive.in one word BOORING!
