The first few days, she seemed really mean but I started to learn she just comes off very strong. If you get to know her, she's nice. We barely had any grades and she's very laid back. We had no notebook checks, it was just due at the end. One lab report for our independent project and supposed to have a presentation.

She's very tough and doesn't really care about how well you do - regardless of it affects your future. The only thing that prevented me from failing was the fact that I had taken Biology before. Run.

Dr. Youngren is a great teacher. Sure, you have to work for your grade, but she's very approachable and helpful! Keep your lab notebook up to dare and listen to the lectures and you'll be good to go. She may seem rough around the edges at first, but she's a very nice person! :)

Dr. Youngren can be a difficult grader; she expects a lot and at times her expectations are lofty. With that said, you will learn SO much and very quickly. Best advice: stay on top of your lab notebook from day ONE, practice and study from the study guides she gives and worst case scenario, you will get a B. Otherwise, she is very friendly!

I thought Dr. Youngren is a great teacher, even though her powerpoints can be a little boring after a while. She is always nice and forgiving; she pushs back assignments, gets rid of your lowest exam grade, and is very helpful in lab. She is always nice to everyone.

Boring. Teaches from powerpoint. Takes a cigarette break during class. Has good days and bad days. I didn't like her at all, but at the end of the semester my grade was a lot higher than I expected so if you have to take her don't give up at the end!
