The class is straightforward and you know what is expected when it comes to papers and exams. There is a lot of printing of documents in lieu of pricey textbooks, and you will need to bring them to class. She has no problem calling students out for phone use and excessive talking in class.

Shes old school. No technology allowed in class, every reading has to be printed and brought in, doesnt accept papers submitted online - in person only, calls on people randomly - especially if you look sick or tired or shy, and clearly picks favorites. Also a severe lack of diversity/white washing in her American Culture class.

Great professor! Whole class boiled down to this huge one paper, with multiple 'step assignments' to complete them. Ultimately, it was a very large and challenging academic research paper that I struggled with, but I grew alot from it and learned alot! Recommended for sure, and she's pretty humourous, just be respectful!

The most helpful teacher I have ever gotten. Really broke down how to write. Very kind and willing to help. Ask specific questions and do the work and you will do well. I wish I had her for all of my english classes, she is the only professor who took the time to guide us into the elements of writing and how to correctly do it and what not to do.

10-12 page research paper is due at the end of the quarter. You spend all quarter leading up to the paper. We had two presentations with groups. Participate in class she likes that. If you have a question ASK! Talks a lot but compared to ENG101 ENG102 is easy!

Susanne is a sweet teacher and a really nice person. I had no trouble participating in discussion boards and following along with material. 4 major writings in the class. The only issue I had was with the time it took to receive grades back. Which was frustrating because of her strict due dates/ did not mean timely grading. Overall pretty good clas

If you are respectful and want to work for it, she will hold your hand throughout the process of writing a research paper, which is broken down into steps throughout the quarter. She does treat you like a highschooler, though, and participation matters to her. Most of class was spent doing discussions about the reading. Overall, she was nice.

If you're looking to take an English 102 for credit, do whatever you can to STAY CLEAR OF HER. Her class was 2 hours and in class was talking about how to write a good hypothesis or thesis or good paper and bad papers. This is college and she's teaching like it's a high school class. She isn't helpful and she isn't clear about what she wants.

Susanne is good at teaching and gets into the subject. My main concern is she treats you like you're in high school rather than college students. I think its quite childish. The discussion boards can get pretty annoying too. Overall, the class is alright!

If you are a guy, especially a white guy, and take this class you will feel sorry. She likes to blame men for all the problems women have in life. How twisted in there can you be!

There are a lot of assignments, most of them are easy. Yet, she has really high expectation for the students to make a good research paper. The research paper can really hurt your grade if you are not doing it properly. I don't recommend her unless you're a really good writer.

Worst teacher I have ever had throughout my whole educational career. She is nice but she is not clear with what she wants in your assignments she just assumes you know how to write a 12 page research paper like you've done it 100 times. I felt like i was in high school with her she does not treat her students like college students

She's nice, but she expects everyone to write her style. She pushes the deadlines for the final paper towards the end, which makes everyone stressed out. She assigns pointless discussion boards and few essays that have nothing to do with the research paper.

Susanne was very nice. Her class involved a lot of reading & most of the class time was spent discussing the material as a class/in groups. Her essays/writings often required your connection to the readings, so make sure you keep up with your reading! Do the discussion boards and take advantage of any extra credit opportunity she gives you!

Susanne is great. This class is heavily focused on the 10 page research paper. There will be discussions online (hybrid course), it's pretty easy - just be on time. She goes through a process to help develop the research paper which becomes very helpful. My advice: DO NOT PROCRASTINATE in this class, or the paper. HARDLY used books lol. Good luck.

She is very passionate about teaching and the subject matter in the class. By far the best professor I've had. She is kind, helpful, and above all else, extremely knowledgeable. There is a LOT of reading and 4 essays, but you are guaranteed to learn something. So long as you participate and actively listen you should do fine

Very tough teacher. I worked my but off, did not procrastinate, used every resource I could and still barely passed. I thought I did great work, but she must be tough as I am usually an A student, but getting a 2.6 grade really pissed me off.

She's a great teacher, very explicit about what she expects in her (very few) assighnments and will walk you through how to do each requirement. My one gripe is that the "big" essay was due at by the end of the quarter, so I couldn't see what I did wrong (My final grade was much worse than I expected). But that's procrastination for you!
