Comment:

Probably the best professor I've ever taken. Her class changed my perspective on the literature I consumed. Make sure to do the reading in a timely manner, for that is the key to doing well in her class. People exaggerate how hard her class is. I got an A by doing the reading and assignments before the deadline and always attending class.

If I am being completely honest, I thought this was going to be my least favorite class and she has turned it into being one of my favorites. Make sure you take THOROUGH notes and complete all the assigned readings. When she reviews test study guides, pay attention to every detail. She is fair, but knows what she is looking for! Highly recommend!

I LOVE her. She was cool and chill through out the semester, plus her class seminars on the Grimm fairytales were very interesting and by the end of the class you'll definitely start reading things differently. Which was the point, she wants us to look at the big picture, think outside the way we were programmed to read and analyze things.

Professor Thomas is definitely one of the best professors at UHD and of the English department, and I feel very fortunate to have been her student. I have taken more than one class with her. She is a truly fair grader, but tough, and all the reading material, everyone that I have engaged in has made me a better person. She is dedicated to her work.

Eady A, as long as you show up and take very good notes. Assigns reading for every class, and she gives quizes. So make sure you read. Her exams are based on her notes and your readings. She is very thorough on her notes. It was an Easy A. I took four classes, have a full time job and have two kids, so no excuses guys.

Dr. Thomas is the most inspirational teachers I've had. She made class enjoyable with her enthusiasm and love for what she teaches. She will help you when one is need of support. You will think differently coming out of her class. She may look intimidating, but she's such a caring professor. I had her for an advanced 3340 course.

She was very passionate about what she taught and was very clear on what she taught. She is a tough grader so you must work very hard to earn the grade you want. Tests are very specific and there is a lot of analysis in this class. Get ready to read and analyze. Attendance quizzes reading quizzes. you were supposed to read so she expects you to.

Let me start by saying that Dr. Thomas is NOT easy. She does however inspire you to give your best. If you work hard and go to class you'll do great. If you miss class you will fail miserably. She brought my writing game to a whole new level (I passed 1302 with an A because of her). It's A LOT of writing but completely necessary.

This was probably my favorite class this semester, and I would totally take this teacher again. She is humorous, interesting, and wants to improve the skills of her students. Coming to class isn't mandatory, but she keeps that in consideration when giving a final grade.

Comment:

I enjoyed her lectures and look forward to taking future courses with her if there are any available. She never made me feel uncomfortable like some other teachers have and she taught in a way to make sure everyone could understand. Dr. Thomas is an excellent professor! She is very specific about what she expects from her students. As long as you do what she asks, you will get an easy A.
