He tested over concepts we never learned and are nowhere to be found in the textbooks. He gets off topic in class so easily that we almost never actually cover anything of value in the 50 minutes. He tries to be funny but his jokes are inappropriate and offensive. His class is EXTREMELY unorganized. One of the worst professors I have ever had.

Tari Renner is super energetic and can make just about any subject interesting. Get ready to see him run around, jump up and down, and have fun. I've had him for a bunch of classes (including stats), and all of the lectures were interesting. He's engaging, wicked smart, and an all around great guy.

Professor Renner is great. I took American National Government with him first semester of my freshman year. He is very enthusiastic and also very nice to talk to during office hours. As far as the class, it was incredibly easy. I just made sure to keep up with the reading and lectures, which you don't really have to pay that much attention to.

I originally took American National Government with him my first semester at IWU and decided to become a Political Science minor after that. He is an extremely energetic and enthusiastic professor and knows SO MUCH! Also has a lot to say as he is the mayor of Bloomington. Dr. Renner is honestly one of my favorite professors here at IWU.

Professor Renner is by far my favorite professor on campus! He is very energetic in class and is absolutely hilarious. I would definitely recommend taking any of his classes, especially elections! He is very passionate about what he does and also gives great political incite because he is a politician, he is the mayor of Bloomington.

Amazing professor! Extremely passionate about the subject matter. I had no interest in political science going into his class, now I'm considering taking more classes. Class is heavily based on textbook reading, but not too difficult. Highly recommend this professor!!!

He is seriously an awesome teacher and a really nice guy. HE KNOWS SO MUCH! His rants and lectures are hilarious and his class is easy if you just do his assignments and read for quizzes. Honestly try to get him as a professor he will get you interested in the topic.

Entertaining lecturer because he makes good analogies laced with swears and jokes. MUST DO THE READINGS AND GO TO CLASS. Also, you'll have to devote a fair amount of studying to the final/mid-term. If you do that you'll be just fine.

Fantastic Prof, my favorite ever. Very passionate. The work isn't easy, but as long as you do the reading and study hard, you'll do well. I don't like learning about U.S. government, but he made it entertaining. Everyone should take a class with him.
