I disagree with the comment stating Alsop is a trickster. I always felt like he prepared you very well and even let us take the tests open book. He was also very accommodating when my husband had work during class, going out of his way to help him make the tests and learn the material. LOVED Alsop, although I wasn't very interested in the subject.

I got married mid-way through the semester and when I talked to him about it, he was very accomodating and even let me drop an extra quiz! He is very understanding, gives opportunities for extra credit, is really funny/entertaining, and teaches the material well. You always know EXACTLY what to study for tests. Great teacher! I learned a lot.

Really good teacher, i would recomend taking his class. He gives you free points for showing up to class on fridays, and he goes over all the test questions before you take them. Easy A

Mr. Alsop prides himself on trick questions. Rather than promoting conceptual understanding, he enjoys littering exam questions with slight and almost imperceptible pitfalls to screw you over. A student could be completely prepared for an exam and still fail it. He's a trickster.

Like the last entry, I am also a prof at a University now, in a different dept, but I look back with very fond memories of this wonderful class. Along with Andy Anderson in Biology and Carl Cheney in Psychology, this guy was one of my three favorites!
