Mr Mann comes off very intimidating at first, people say he lightens up but I didn't ever see that side of him. Expects you to memorize all the dates of artists and where the records were produced in the two 100 question in class listening tests. As a senior at KSC, I can easily say this was the worst professor I've ever had. Highly don't recommend

This is my 4th class with Mann. At first he comes off intimidating, but if you look past that you can see that he's a hilarious guy. He's easy-going and an easy grader. I took guitar with him and he expects you to move along quickly, but it's a reasonable pace if you're practicing. I recommend History of R&R, Guitar Class, and Avant Rock to anyone

I've had him for three classes. He can be a jerk, but once you accept that then he can be a very good teacher. Takes things too personally sometimes. Just do your work on time and don't take anything he says personally either.

Horrible class and teacher. It is called Avant Rock but should be called Beatles Revolver. A class all about the Beatles sounds like fun but, you go over the same album and same things day after day. Work is time consuming and repetitive. He makes you feel worthless and doesn't take feedback from students whatsoever. never take this class...

Had him for intro to guitar, good teacher and knows his stuff, but when teaching someone how to play an instrument he shouldnt be so condescending to the student and make them feel like retards because they can not keep a beat on the second class.
