Online class for nutrition and it was okay. She's not a very difficult teacher. Be prepared to do a lot of work for online class. I'm not sure how she is in class but it took her a while to get back to us with graded assignments. Quizzes are timed 12Qs and 15min left to do them. and they are weekly along with hmwk. Make sure you know your stuff.

Absolutely loved Professor Heisey! The sweetest lady! I had her for both lecture and lab and she was great in both. Absolutely recommend taking her if you are able to.

Prof. Heisey was awesome. The course itself was actually pretty fun, and all the Labs were very diverse. I honestly learned more in the BIO101LAB than I did the BIO101 Lecture. If you can manage to get her for lecture too, by all means do it. One of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

Wow. I had such an excellent experience with Mrs. Heisey as my professor. I took her in the Spring 2015 semester for Introductory Biology (and also had her as my lab professor). She is funny, interesting, and always will personally assist you in any way possible. Definitely in the top 5 professors at LCCC. Would highly recommend taking her classes!

I loved her! She is an amazing techear. She helps when you come to her office during office hours. She is a fair teacher and grader. Her exams cover exactly what we had during lecture and she revise the subject before them.

Such a wonderful teacher; definitely passionate about the subject matter and knows what she is talking about. Hosts class discussions, but make sure you take the project about different ecological issues seriously. Uses "Sand County Almanac" as a large part of the course and it's a great book. Definitely hoping to take her again!

Such a sweet woman. She is helpful to all her students and goes above and beyond to answer questions- as long as you ask them. I took her for lab, and she helps you through the experiments if there is any confusion. Her quizzes have questions from the lecture as well, so make sure you remember lessons! A lot of opportunity to make up classes.

If your schedule allows for it, make sure to take her for both lecture and lab. It makes things so much easier. Trust me. It's not an easy A class by any means (most lab sciences aren't) but if you need to take it, make sure you take Heisey.

I absolutly LOVE this professor!! She is so clear i everything that she teaches. She is very passionate about science and that shows in her lectures. She uses alot of pictures to reference terms from the book so it is great for visual learners. I am horrble at leanring terms but in this class I have no trouble at all the info just sticks.

Professor Hiesy is amazingly patient and kind. Most intelligent teacher ive had at LCCC. She is the hippie mom you always wanted... Even dealing with students that oppose creaionism strongly, she can make them feel comfortable about learning it. If you are there to learn, take her class, she is helpful and one of the nicest people ive met.

She reminds me of someone's awesome Grandma. I had her for lab, and she was willing to help you, and she was a lot of fun. I remember one time having trouble doing a lab, and she stayed late with me to finish it, and even helped me complete and understand it.
