She was great. I wish I would have had her a second time when I retook the class. I would have done better had I done the work and studied more, but she did her job well and made sure we understood the material. And she's attractive. All around winner!

Professor Heck is one of the best professors anyone is going to be able to find. She does everything right, from how she teaches to what she teaches to even how she looks :) If you want to have fun AND learn while taking psychology, take Terri Heck at all costs!

AWESOME teacher, her assignments are very clear. All you have to do is read and get the vocab down pat and you are sure to get an A. Do not talk while she is giving her lecture's because she will get mad and embarass you, but if you are doing so you deserve it. BEST teacher i have ever had.

Excellent teacher, warm, easy going, clear, and helpful! If you study the text readings and definitions, and show up for class you should have no problem with exams. All exam and quiz questions are straight forward and easy to understand. In class assignment definitely help with comprehension of concepts. Do the work and get the grade.

Overall very interesting n informative. The class is worth taking, but be warned!! If u happen to be human n life happens, this prof will not commiserate. She's not sympathetic or helpful in anyway if you have a personal problem. Lacks compassion for her students n just wants u to show up n do the work, other than that she really doesn't care.

She's a very nice person but a hard teacher. She didn't give much homework, which was a bad thing because her exams are very difficult. Don't be surprised if you botch the first exam. Her class consists of group/class discussion and exams. So go to class and STUDY!!!

She was a fun teacher, but she gives way too much homework for a 3 credit course. exams are difficult, definitely need to study theories and who said what, and percentages. attendance is part of your grade. Not sure if i'd recommend her to others.

She is a terrible teacher, and very unprofessional. She holds a grudge if you do not do well in her class, and has no problem embarrassing you in front of the entire lecture class. She has little to few assignments to earn points on, and most grades are based on exams and either a Reaction Notebook or Reaction papers.

Prof. Heck is not a teacher that I would take again or recommend to anyone. I took her online class and she had you doing homework on weekends. It was a very stressful class. She also gave assignments in an excessive amount, especially when she scheduled the final exam. She never responded to my emails when I had questions.

I took this course online - but it probably would have been best in a physical classroom. She uses a cookie-cutter homework schedule, which may force quite a few assignments to be due on weekends, including Sunday, which many people consider a day of rest. The timed exams are difficult. Slow to respond to homework. I won't take her again.

Very nice and down to earth. Tests require studying but not overkill. She doesn't give an excessive amount of homework. A lot of notes but abnormal psych is very interesting. Would take again.

Terri Heck is awesome! Yes, theres lots of hw, & yes, you need to study her notes, but nothing too impossible to do. Hw wont take more than 20 min to complete & study her notes thoroughly for a good grade. She is a nice lady and is passionate about what she teaches, which is why she is crystal clear during lectures, making it very easy to learn.

Heck is all in all a goo teacher and is very easy to follow in class. But if you are someone that can't make it to class all the time DO NOT take her class. You cannot make up ANY hmwk no matter what your excuse is. Other than that you come to class and study and you will be fine.

I didn't care for this teacher. She was judgmental and her course material strayed dangerously from science (behavioral science, duh?) and was more like a personal philosophy course or just out of the book. I don't like "from the book" teachers; my reading skills are intact.

This class was a very difficult class for a 1000 level course. The exams were very difficult, however the classroom assignments were so interesting. The professor is a great instructor, and very professional. If you are looking to be challenged, and have a great instuctor this is it.

Prof. Heck is a very good instructor, and a great presentor of the material. However, if you are a 1st year college student be prepared to study hard for the exams. This course is very difficult for 1010 level. It is challenging, and interesting worth taking, especially with this professor.
