Comment:

She is very clear on assignment dates and what is expected. She gives reasonable amount of hw, some are longer than others. Her tests are not that hard if you go over the reviews, the reviews match the test. To some people she may come off as blunt or rude but she really isn't. She responds to emails pretty quickly. Overall, great professor.

Comment:

She is sarcastically funny, which is something I enjoy. She explains the material very well and makes sure to stop for people to ask questions. She even verbally asks if everyone is understanding. Takes time out of her own to help if you need it. Piece of advice, don't take her if you get offended easily.

She's a really tough grader, the tests are a major part of your grade so if you bombed the first test your average overall will be a low grade. Gives out homework everyday after class, and attendance is mandatory. Have to buy an access code for MathLab and a ti-83/84 calculator.

Comment:

One of my favorite professors so far. Despite teaching such a difficult curriculum, she did everything in her power to make it manageable for the students. And even when I couldnt make it to class for a week, she stayed behind and helped me catch up. But do make sure you go to every lecture and do all the HW though, otherwise you wont do well.

Stay away from this professor! She doesn't help you AT ALL. She rushes through assignments and lecture. Talks to herself in third person which it's weird. Random pop quizzes. Do not recommend her!

Stay away from her, unless you can learn on your own! She just regurgitate the theory and the problems from the ppt that comes with the textbook. She is doing nothing for the course and the problems from the tests are far away from the homework problems!

Took her for a 5 week summer class after making a 98 on my last Algebra class. My grade by week 3 was down to a C with no real hope in sight so I dropped it to save my 4.0 GPA. She knows her stuff, but moved too fast, perhaps because of the condensed semester. She does come off as rude but hey, you're not in HS anymore. Wouldn't recommend.

Awesome math professor!! Lectures are really helpful. She will stay longer than class time to make sure you understand the material. Make sure to attend to her class. Professor Seiver is simply a helpful person. Ask many questions as you can during lecture. Be prepared for a lot of homework!!

There are five test and the lowest grade gets dropped. Final is comprehensive and it's pretty hard. Homework is easy (multiple attempts for each question), but time consuming. The homework is confusing compared to her lectures when trying to study for tests. She is nice, but can be rude sometimes. She will give partial credit on tests.

Great Prof. She is very helpful and will stay long after office hours to help a student. Lots of homework because it was a 5 week class but homework was only 10 percent of the grade. Tests are to the point and simply worded for an easy test experience.

I am actually very good at math and this class was the hardest time I've had. So much homework, like 3 chapters a week. The tests were not like the reviews. Only have hour and half to do tests, which is not enough time. You have to take the final test in class. she added a formula the day before in a study session that I was not able to attend.

DO NOT TAKE ONLINE. Online tests are long and you will run out of time trying to take tests. There will be questions on the test that aren't on the review. If you aren't very good at math to start with you will struggle. Some people have said she is sarcastic, but it also comes across as being rude and mean spirited.

If you need to take industrial mathematics , PICK HER! By far the best teacher I've had since I started college in terms of covering material efficiently and having an absolute BLAST in the process.

She was great, if you struggle she will be sure to help you out if you need it. The book is a must, she assigned homework out of it then picked which problems she would grade, but would ask if anyone struggled with it before you turn it in. PAY ATTENTION she moves fast, ask if she will slow down for you. She is funny don't take comments to heart.
