Awesome Prof, enjoyed the lectures even at 8am. Hes a really cool guy, great professor. Very difficult tests, he'll work with you, be prepared to present cases.

HARD CLASS. 2 cases that you have to read out loud, 3 exams (including the final). They are all multiple choice and true/false but they are REALLY REALLY HARD. But he is a nice, humorous guy.

Comment:

Business Law is really not the most exciting class, but Apke's dry sense of humor made it a bit more bearable. He lectures to the very last minute, and encourages you to read the book to study. The tests are multiple choice conceptual questions and he assigns 3 cases to each person throughout the semester, one of which you will have to read aloud.

Comment:

Slow pace and chill environment. Takes attendance sometimes and assign seats. Three cases, but present one to class, fairly easy, and three tests. NO STUDY GUIDE. The tests are very tough for alot of it is conceptual and examples. He gave a huge curve on all three of our test. You will need the book but he is very helpful on lecture. Good class.

The material for any MGMT class is not easy at all no matter who you take it with. You have to READ A LOT in this class. 2 Exams and 1 Final. For me, tests were hard, even though they were MC. Thank God the final was non-cumulative! Also he gives a simple brief case to everyone. He takes attendance as they add up to your grade. No +- system.

HIGHLY RECCOMENDED.... Very clear lecture, attendance and purchasing the book are mandatory but it's easy work. his lessons are VERY concise, easily the most well spoken teacher i've ever had; no verbal clutter at all. just kinda boring, but hey, youre a business major and this is your first law class so whaddaya want eh?

Registered for Management 246 for Fall and all the sections were under staff, so I happen to get Prof. Apke. There is no way you can pass this class without the book. You need to read alot from the book and review his lecture notes. The exams were difficult for me. Overall his class was okay.

Take him if you can! He is very relaxed. Comfortable to talk to if you need to chat. He is willing to help. Print out the powerpoint before class, it helps in taking notes. Be sure to read the chapters throughout the semester. Outlining them is best. VOCAB is important! Understand how vocab can be used in an example problem. Overall Grade = 3 tests

Grade is comprised of 3 tests. They are difficult but if you study for 5+ hours you should be good. No homework and attendance is rarely taken. He's semi-retired so class is really relaxed. Take him if you can.

VERYYY HARD CLASS! Id recommend not taking it! try a diff prof. Very boring. He lectures way too fast and doesn't care much for his students. Tried going to his office hours, and he didn't help much.

I cannot stress how important the book is, especially if you tend to skip!! Read every chapter, make sure you understand the material well and you should do fine. Apke has dry humor but knows the topics well so it's somewhat interesting.

Apke will take you apart with his knowledge. He told us stories about his clients and offered us free advice. This class was very hard and time consuming. You need to memorize and memorize everything. There is a sign in sheet and 2 cases per person. If you present, you get extra credit. He is somewhat boring, but you get used to it after awhile.

Class got boring alot of the time but it is very interesting too...its not a hard class at all. Just pay attention to his examples and listen to the briefs presented...easy B! plus he's comedy if you catch his dry humor...i think he is retiring though...sucks for future yrs...he was defintely LEGIT!

Very knowledgeable of the subject. Dry, witty sense of humor. Tests are mostly multiple choice and tricky. Lectures directly from text. You won't get any feedback about why you got a certain grade, just a letter on the top of your assignments with no explanation. That was a bit frustrating.

Awesome professor! idk why ppl say he's boring...he's pretty funny..& He's far from useless..Not a hard class(only for people who never pay attention or read)Get extra credit for showing up to class on some days. Def. recommend!
