Best professor I had while attending CU. He goes beyond the status quo and will call you out for simply regurgitating rhetoric. Truly an amazing individual and teacher of thought. I recommend taking any class this professor offers if you can get in.

insistent on evidence; encourages students to rethink their beliefs; participation in discussions is mandatory (and useful); extremely helpful and accessible; very knowledgeable I originally took the class to fulfill the AmPol requirement, but I enjoyed the class and learned A LOT. I have a lot of respect for Prof. Tecza.

Professor Tecza was a. Very impact full professor, his course grounded me in polysci in a lasting way. I've actually used what I learned in his class in both my career and in my life. BTW, I'm pretty sure Van Halen borrowed some of his stuff...

There should be no doubt that he will challenge you on every assumption you make. He is also very direct in what he says and how he says it... some people do not like him but to each their own. Graduate level Poli Sci classes are not meant to be easy and if you cannot handle criticism... you may want to consider another course of study.Learned tons

Had Tecza for American Political Thought, Internship, American Political Theory, and he mentored me into my Graduate Degree Program at UCD. Just as others have said he makes you work, but he allows you to learn through the process. Always challenging your thinking; he will never accept your first answer. Smart, Funny, Best professor I ever had.

Difficult instructor. If you don't come to his class, you'll wish you had. Class was ALL discussion based and grading was determined solely by 3 lengthy papers. He is the type of instructor however that you hope to get more often. Makes you think and challenges your beliefs. Worth my tuition money for usre.
