He is late to class. The way he teaches is not helpful because half the students in my class were close to failing. Main reason why i dropped out of his class. Also i was told the final was made in 1950.

I took this class online and it was crazy hard. A test every week & we were given 55 mins to take a 50 min test... Ugg I got a B and learned a lot, but I was crazy stressed... dont take if you cant handle deadlines

Comment:

Many people don't like this guy, but he is a professor for adults. In other words, he treats his students like people who are responsible for their own learning. It's true that he doesn't exactly get hands on with the material, but his lectures are very interesting. He is a professor that reminds us that we are responsible for our grades not him.

If you dont like to read DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. This WHOLE class is about the book. You might as well take it online. He is very cold and outdated!!!! My class started completely full and at the end of the semester there is 7 people. From what I observe only 2 are passing. Terrible Class. The book is well written though. I enjoyed it.

You must read the book if you even intend on passing this class, but the final was ridiculous. The questions were completely irrelevant to what we had learned all semester. Also, we were only alloted 40 minutes to complete a 75 question final. Thats a little over 30 seconds per question leaving absolutely no room to even think.

He appeared to be cold and ignorant at first but if you bear with him, he's actually a really really GOOD professor. Students need to see pass the brutal appearance. He does have a heart and he loves what he teaches. I had a C prior to the final and I asked him, how to get a B and he said, "Do your best in the last one week". I ended up with a B.

This class is not for you if you are lazy! He gives you objectives for each test (4 chapters at a time) and covers SOME in class BUT you HAVE to read every night to keep up! If you do this you will do fine. Started out 30 something students in class, ended up with a dozen...remember you are IN collge!

If you can not get a passing grade in this class you should reconsider going to college and get a job. He tells you exactly what part of each chapter is going to be on the exams. He also says on the first day if you do not read you will not pass. Stop being lazy and open a book, maybe then your education will mean something.

This class is for those of you that can read and learn on your own. There is no written homework but you MUST read every night to be prepared for the tests. HE gives you a packet for each section and you MUST do the work to do well in the tests. There is no class participation and you must attend class.

He leaves it to you to do the work and read, but gives you an opportunity to take each test over to get a better grade. There isn't anything to do to bring up your grade other than do well on the tests. Even when I thought I did ok on the tests, I still took the makeups just to be sure. It helped. READ THE CHAPTERS!

what the heck is everyone talking about? he is a good teacher. if you actually read the chapters that go along with the units, you can easily pass the tests. he definitely knows what he is doing, and is a very nice guy. what more can you ask for? he even lets you retake each unit test. give him a break, and read people.

He used a standardized test for his final that was written in 1966. It was full of out of date terminology and many of the questions were not even close to the material found in our book. He is quite lazy, one gets the impression he's been giving the same exact lectures for 30 years, and seems to get irritated with questions.

Everyone is saying they don't like him because he requires a lot of reading...well this IS college. I took and accelerated online course and yea it was a lot of reading(about 24 chapters in a little over 2months). Its annoying but if you are disciplined it will not matter. the clss would not have been as bad if it wasn't accelerated. I got a B.
