He is an okay professor. Gives pop quizzes so always read the material and watch the videos or you wont pass the quizzes. Don't show up late to class. He is somewhat understanding. Also appreciates feedback at the end of the course.

He teaches using Prezi which you have to purchase and the material is hard to follow. There is group work and debating. I didn't like his teaching style with it being half online half lecture.

Brockelman is passionate about philosophy! The flaws in his teaching can largely be attributed to the small amount of time he has to present the material, but it is an enjoyable whirlwind of a class that is fun when you are devoted to reading (and sparknotes). Highly recommended if you want a strange tasting of continental philosophy.

Hes weird but nice his expectations are that you read take notes and pay attention to class his quizzes are not that fun they are unpredictable and if you aren't in class that day you just receive a zero He isnt very clear for his papers but mostly he will give you a B

He is a nice guy but he does not tell you what he wants clearly on writing assignments. He tells you something one day, you check in with him the next and his opinion of it changes completely and it's very frustrating. He grades pretty hard on writing assignments also if he doesn't agree with you but will hide behind it "being a little confusing"

Professor Brockelman is a very nice guy, and a great teacher. He is semi-demanding with his papers, but he doesn't give finals or midterms, only papers, which is nice. Overall, he is a very good professor, take him if you can.

Unfortunately, I found him not helpful. I do not find it necessary to be arrogant at Le Moyne. He has no understanding for others and forces students to stay when the class has ended in an effort to ramble about philosophy. I liked philosophy before taking this class, but through his lack of clarity with difficult texts,he has discouraged me.

I don't quite agree with what others have said about the honors class. He is very helpful in honors and is extremely polite and extraordinarily knowledgeable. If you do the reading and participate in class discussions, you should have no problem.

He's so cute. haha He's a really nice guy- gotta love the fro. His tests are easy if you've done the reading and the papers are constantly discussed in class. The debates are kinda boring but easy. I'd recommmend his class.

Prof. Brockleman did not only lack tact and professionalism when he discussed the papers I'd written but he was actually mean. He used language that made the learning environment hostile, was unrealistic in expectations and clearly disliked his students.
