No textbook required. I didn't read a single book. I wrote three essays throughout the whole semester, and all of them were based on short articles. As long as you follow the rubric, you will get A's on essays. He gives A LOT of homework and pop quizzes so you have to study. If you want A's or even high B's, you really have to do some work.

One of the most disrespectful professors I've ever encountered. Made brash comments to students during the FIRST WEEK. Quiz everyday for attendance. He sits in the corner and asks students to volunteer for everything. Not much teaching was done on his part. Likes youtube videos and power points and articles from OTHER COLLEGES.

He gives quizzes every time you meet on the SAME THING EVERY TIME. His class is incredibly boring and makes me want to sleep. I had to walk out of class at one point because of how rude he was being to the class. He's at least 15mins late to class almost every day. He graded me on a test that I didn't take because I wasn't rostered into that class

He is very rude and gets smart with you. He publicly embarrasses you and doesn't care what you think. He thinks he knows everything so don't challenge him or raise your hand if you aren't certain you answer is 100% correct because he will call you out. I would not recommend anyone to take his class.

Mr. Brown is a really nice professor. This course requires reading , attendance and class participation. I learned a lot after taking this class with him. There was two exams and two papers. Periodically, he gives quizzes and checks journals--so read! No textbooks but a play to read. Also, you have to do a class presentation.

As long as you follow his directions on the assignments and come to class there's no way you can do poorly. He is one of the most polite, genuinely nice professors I've had. He has very strong political opinions and he likes to ramble but it makes class go by faster. Also gave me advice on my major/future career and took an interest in helping me.

This teacher is actually nice! As long as you do the work the way he asks, really try [with no lazy effort], and hand in work papers you'll be fine! People complain that he's mean and has an attitude, but I didn't see that at all. Just don't ask silly questions that is on the syllabus or work papers he gave already and come prepared.

To say this class is incredibly tough is nonsense. Just follow directions on the assignements and you should do fine. to the person who said this class was tougher than his/her 400 level classes must be jokes. Brown's class isn't easy but i wouldn't say its all that hard either. follow directions, go to class and you'll do fine.

He's the worst teach I've ever had. i never failed a class in my life and I'm failing this this. i never know what hes talking about. he constantly calls you out. hes rude. you have a quiz everyday. he sucks at grading. if he messing up on grades he'll refuse to fix it. HES AWFUL DON'T EVER TAKE HIM!
