Kind and interesting. IF YOU ARE WILLING TO ASK AFTER CLASS, he will explain things. He knows what he is talking about and he can be funny. You have to actually pay attention to understand things, and you should do outside research. It requires less than 3 hours a week of studying. Also, DO NOT CRAM.

Do yourself a favor and don't listen to people who gave him a very low rating as they probably didn't do well on the first test and dropped it. He is great, knows a TON. He has traveled to most of the countries he talks about. 4 tests each worth 25% of your grade but if you come to class and even barely study you will do fine on the multiple choice

Absolutely the WORST professor I have ever had. Refuses to do anything with Oncourse. Tons of rambling.Tests have absolutely nothing to do with his lectures which are extremely boring and opinionated. He is also very rude to in-class questioning

He knows a lot about geography but makes rude and often inaccurate statements about anyone who isn't a right-winged American based solely on his travels pre-1990. If you go against him, he'll tell you to shut up then argue why you're wrong. 1/2 of what he says has nothing to do with the topic of the day. he'll keep you late rambling. it's whatever

Horrible! I couldn't follow anything in his course! He may be the worst professor on IUPUI's campus. No help, he stands at the front of the room and lectures about countries from an overhead projector! He doesn't even use powerpoint or oncourse. How hard is it for you to update your teaching skills when we are paying for you to teach!

I was completely lost the entire semester. He does not use Oncourse (major drawback), his lectures are dull, and tests are based on the lectures. I never knew what to write down in my notes. Reading the book helps prepare for tests. Beware: Only 4 things go into your final grade, and those are tests. Good luck if you take his class.

Very hard to follow his lectures. Don't even worry about purchasing a book because he doesn't use it. All questions on the tests are from lectures. He assigns film reviews that do not have an exact percentage of your grade, but he will not pass you if you have not turned them in. DON'T TAKE A CLASS WITH HIM

His class is mostly lectures. I found it interesting sometimes, he has a very thorough knowledge of geography. Attendance isn't mandatory but go to class it's most of the test.He doesn't tell you at first but the tests are curved against the rest of the class. I went to his office often & he would help me prepare the sheet to study for the test.

He is probably the worst prof I've had thus far. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you miss any of his lectures - good luck on his test because he doesn't use the book. He also isn't to keen on questions pertaining to his grading scale and about the class in general. I would never ever take one of his classes again.

Fedor is a nice guy, but an awful teacher. His tests are impossible to study for, because he just talks about past stories of him traveling the world and uses no textbook. He doesn't use oncourse, and gets agitated when students ask questions. Again, nice guy, but complete oblivious to the idea of being "fair"

Aside from being a jerk at times, I found him fascinating. His knowledge of the world is vast and I learned many things about the world that sometimes didn't relate to the subject matter, but still was interesting. It was also refreshing to have a conservative minded teacher for once to help level out the sea or liberalness in universities.

He is one of the better instructors I have ever had. His world travels certain back up his ability to easily convey whatever message it is he has about a particular geographical location. I would say he may give more information than a standard "please just let me get through this class" sort of student wants. Which is a good thing in my opinion.

Anyone who does not want to conform to his unbending right wing ideals will not make it... so if you have your own opinions stay away. Between the insults and ego caressing there is really very little teaching being done, and when there is it is coming from a movie...Definately not worth the money or time.

complete jerk towards all students. the grade was based on exactly three tests which covered random details not in the book. i abhored this class.
