You learn a lot but aren't given near enough time on the tests to do well. Attendance is mandatory and there are no excused absences. Ask about assignments way before it's due, she won't answer questions the week of. Lectures are interesting. The class is difficult, this combined with 221 will make you re-think why you're here.

No tests, only videos and papers. Parker's a good teacher but the class is difficult. You learn a lot but your grade probably doesn't reflect that. She's good at giving feedback on what you're doing wrong but if you want to know how to fix it or what you're doing well you'll have to go talk to her. Tip:rip yourself apart on the video papers.

She doesn't have a policy about computers so I would use mine. BAD IDEA. She took a letter grade away from me "because all I do is play around." I take notes like that because there is just so much to go over in one class. Test are crazy hard, notes are long. Ended up dropping the class since I didn't want to take that F. You have been warned.

She is very passionate about what she teaches and will definitely challenge your beliefs. The only warning for this class is the work-load. There is no procrastinating with this class, and you're either writing a paper every night or reading a few chapters or both.

This class challenges your beliefs towards gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, class and ability and Mrs. Parker is not afraid to say what everyone is thinking. She's a passionate speaker and has you examine your beliefs towards the topics discussed and challenges you to be a more open minded person. It was my favorite class this semester!

Mrs. Parker knows her stuff. She lectures a lot, but she keeps things interesting with personal stories and her humor. She can be a tough teacher, but it's only because she expects more out of her students. Attendance is important so this is not a class to skip!

Mrs. Parker was funny and knowledgeable about her field. I enjoyed the level of in-class discussion in this class. Her assignments require a decent amount of effort, but aren't unbearable. I would recommend this class to those who aren't required to take it.

AWESOME teacher! Has lots of enthusiasm and loves what she does. She is very blunt and tells you straight up how it is. Very sweet lady, but she is a really tough grader. Pay attention and take good notes, you'll be fine.

Dont let her reputation scare you away. She is one of the most knowledgable teachers and passionate. Tad bit of a hard grader but will gladly help if asked. She is an awesome professor once you get to know her. She is intimidating, but a softy on the inside.

Hardest teacher ever. going to class was miserable and not much that was talked about in class was on the test.used a lot of quotes from the readings we had to do. master status paper is the easiest thing but she is a hard grader when it comes to everything

WORST TEACHER EVER!! If you disagree with her once, you can count on failing everything from then on. She thinks she's right about everything, and wont let you speak if your against her opinion. I studied all night for her tests and knew the material, yet only seemed to get an 83,on EVERY test. Her grades are a reflection of how much she likes you.
