She's super interesting just to listen to in class. Apparently an astound writer.... making it understandable that she's a tough grader. But if you're willing to work hard, she's incredible. Honestly, I didnt read a single book, just looked at sparknotes & other online summaries, and I pulled off a B+, so she isnt terrrrrible. Still though,caution.

I dont see what's so brillient about her. all she does is stand in front of the class and free associate for 50 minutes. she does not invite questions well and so cannot clear up misunderstanding. Also, her feedback on papers is useless, as she offers mostly condemnation, and virtualy no useful advice and her two published works inflate her ego.

She doesn't know what she's doing. Very disorganized,& almost always late. Never could get a hold of her outside of the class, & never responds to emails. I never got any of my papers back and I thought I was doing well in the class, I got an A- in the midterm, worked hard and ended with a B-. Her syllabus is bs, so disregard it. Worst prof. ever!

Four things you need to know about her: She's incredibly intelligent/an amazing orator. Loves it when students participate and research the material for knownledge beyond what is on the page. Yes, she is a bit unorganized, but the rest of her class makes up for it-- and if your having trouble, she is always willing to help. Take her :) Great prof.

She has got to be the worst professor at Fordham. She seriously can't teach and the class is so boring. Stay as far away as possible from her. If you don't give in drafts for her to check, you're basically going to get a C, it's all she gives. I mean she's a nice lady, but a horrible professor!

English majors: If you have the chance to take Theory with another prof., I highly recommend it. While she is incredibly intelligent (and also hilarious) to the point where she can't organize any of her own thoughts, the class was poorly structured. The material is great but her presentations aren't clear at all, making it difficult to learn much.

She is not a good teacher and never makes herself available to students - teaching class is not a top priority. She comes off very friendly at first, but by the end of the year you realize she will only like you if you agree with her world views. Good luck trying to get time with her during office hours (she skips appointments a lot). Bad class!
