He lectures. He uses A LOT of power points and videos. He is a very highly educated professor who can answer most questions. Very little work is done through out the semester but expect 2-3 tests. Tests are somewhat difficult but he always has a review class before the test. I like his classes and this is my 3rd time taking one of his classes.

This class was awful, spent the entire time going through long power points that either made no sense or had no connection to what we were learning about. On top of that i felt i couldn't go to him for help, and he never graded any of our assignments. Overall i got the feeling he not only hated us but hated what he was teaching.

Tough class material, but if you put in a bit of effort, the classes are really not hard. He's super flexible on deadlines/etc, and always gives out copies of old tests. If you aren't into the class, don't take it, because, as you can see from the other responses, you can't just glide thru.

Don't be intimidated by this teacher, he's not that bad,U need to go to classes and assigned books are very helpful,if you do the reading it'll be a breeze. For exams he puts examples of previous exams on blackboard and basically uses the same thing for actual exam. Only difficulty was problem sets.

Not clear at all! Too smart and he doesn't understand that not everybody is a geologist. Very hard to stay awake in class! Don't take anything with him.
