Good professor. Those who feel that he belittles them are probably the ones who don't do homework. Or are not that smart (I am sorry but this is true). Those people are overly sensitive to criticism and suffer from inferiority complex, which has nothing to do with the professor. If you want to learn something, take a class with him.

very picky with grading, expect to come to all classes, he docks you points for not showing up. Does not post grades through the whole semester. Instructions for group projects are poorly written. Nice guy but I would have taken it with someone different if I would have known

He is actually a nice professor. I would love to have him as a professor again. His grading is a little confusing because he doesn't clarify what he wants from your paper but the lowest grade I received from an essay was a B. Passed his class with an A-. If you skip class, don't complain about how he is a horrible professor.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this professor. This is the third course I've taken with him and if you do the work, he grades accordingly. Yes, he has a tendency to talk down to you sometimes, but only if you try and b.s. him during reflections on reading assignments.

Had his class years ago. Seemed like an interesting fellow, & he thought of me as a "star" the 1st week of class! Boy, I fooled him. Following that 1st week, he was not pleased with my contributions - neither was I. Spent much of the semester sleeping in & missing his class. 1 of 2 F's I've received in my life. Earned this one. Would do it again!

I'm a smart guy and a good student, but I left this class angry every day. I'll repeat what others have said: He makes you feel stupid. After class is over, you feel like an idiot. Every day I just grew more and more angry at this guy for making me feel bad about myself. From the looks of other comments, I'm not alone. Avoid him at all costs.

Fountaine is actually a pretty good guy. He's a bit of a jerk, and no one ever wants to go to his class (including myself), but now that we're at the end of the semester, I find that he's not all that bad. He is really willing to help you with your essays, and once you get past his arrogance, he's actually a good guy. :)

Comes to class late. Makes you feel like an idiot. Rude. Extremely bitter. Not clear with what he wants done for projects and then grades harshly. Uses the word "essentially" in every sentence including his handouts. Class is unorganized and seems like he just wings everything. Seems like he hates teaching. DO NOT TAKE HIM!! you will regret it!

Horrible. The class has almost nothing to do with writing in business. All projects, no tests. The projects have little to do with writing in business (ex. we had to create a newsletter with original articles for a disease)and are graded extremely hard. The class is also boring. He reads handouts for the period after he shows up 10+ minutes late.

Class focued on discussion; do read/complete skim book,then ask qu's & he will clarify qu's.Ur grade sucked=you didn't read the material/participate in class.
