Comment:
Avoid this teacher! His lectures are unorganized, he mixed up facts on several occasions (students corrected him), and he would rarely respond to emails (and was rude during his office hours). Dont bother asking questions in lab, because 95% of the time he says "How should I know" and walks away. Dont know where he got good reviews from honestly :/

Please take with a different professor, he does not know how to teach at all. Was very unclear in class and his homework did not represent the difficulty of his exams at all

Dr. Brewer is more laid back than some other chemistry professors. Not a stickler at all. He is very funny and connects well with students. He rounds up grades. I looked forward to going to lab every week because of his positive energy. He also had very legible handwriting.

I took him for chem lab and he was always great with answering any questions I had. You need to come to class, but if you have an emergency he is willing to work with you. The class basically follows the online lab manual exactly so it was fairly easy to get through. He's a nice guy and teaches when you need help.

Dr. Brewer is great for lab, he helps out if you have questions and if he sees that you're working hard, he gives you credit for it (raised my 89 to a 90).

Dr. Brewer is very fair when giving his tests. Everything comes straight from his quizzes and lectures. He won't try to trick you. Many times he will mention in class that "This may be on your exam" and yes it will so make sure to understand that part of the lecture if nothing else. Quizzes are actually harder than the exams.

One of the best professors I've ever had. Syllabus and grading are very fair and clear. The lectures are a little scattered and long but he is always open for questions and will go over the material until everyone in the class understands. The homework is optional but if you do it you're pretty much guaranteed an A on the exams. Very kind man.

Dr. Brewer is by far the most helpful instructor I've had the chance to meet. He does assign homework assignments, but they are pretty straightforward. He explains concepts until every student clearly understands them. He can be funny, and he is so kind. I even got help from him for CHEM 123. I highly recommend taking him.

Great teacher. Very scattered, a bit unorganized. Lecture is not the best but part of it could just be the material. Very, very helpful. Tailors it to the majors in the class to make esoteric stuff relevant. Wants you to succeed and is very approachable. One of the best in the dept. Take him!

Awesome professor! Knows what he's talking about extremely well and is really good about explaining it thoroughly and in different ways in case it wasn't clear initially. Makes the class a bit fun with his added interesting information, because he knows it can be a bit tough. Homework almost every class, but it's easy and helps learn the stuff.

Good teacher until I went out of town and he refused an extension for a take home test. This would have been fair, but he not allowed a different student to take a test 5 days after it was scheduled just a couple weeks prior to not giving me an extension...

teaches well but has a hard time explaining things, uses power point, test are from the power points and are easy if you study, willing to meet during office hours and help if you need it, study outside of class and you should do fine
