Tim is my all time favorite professor I've ever had! He's so passionate, and inspirational, it is a joy just to come to class and learn from him. Honestly when I first had him I had to adjust to his teaching style, He lectures heavy but pay attention, his tests are difficult if you don't. I would take more of his classes for fun on my free time!

I have taken a number of classes with Tim, and it takes a minute to adjust to his teaching style, he is very enthusiastic and always willing to help. There aren't a lot of points available, so make sure that you are prepared for any of the tests or projects that you have to turn in. As long as you are prepared to work with him, its a great class!

Teaches a really interesting class and is clearly very knowledgeable about the subject. Accessible if you need extra help and is there to help you succeed. Lectures are never boring.

Great teacher, very interesting to listen to. Does get going at a fast pace which can be exhausting at times. The subject matter had the potential to be super boring, but with him teaching it was a entertaining.

VERY, VERY, VERY Liberal. Knowledge of field is amazing. Laid back, doesn't mind people cursing (I still didn't but he does all the time). Relatable but it seems like most of the material is not on the tests. Cleveland sports fan.

I thought he was a very tough teacher. His tests were extremely hard. I felt like nothing he said was ever really on the tests. He is very intelligent and energetic. Loves what he does. Just, study, study, study, for his tests, thats all I can say.

He is a great teacher. His best aspect is that he is extremely energetic. He really motivates you to learn. I took him for criminology and also minority groups. Sometimes he comes off as extremely liberal which is hard when you are a die hard conservative like myself. The main thing is to stay open minded in his class. Overall, he is a great guy!!

Very liberal but welcomes other's opinions (even if he doesn't agree with them)and challenges to his beliefs- most of my fellow students seemed 2 have a tough time w/ the fact that he backs his arguments up with FACTS. Tests are known to be mostly theory application(as is usual for a lot of social science classes- psych, soc) TAKE GOOD NOTES!!!!

The second book needed is 9780495508748. This was a great class. It is not mandatory to be in class, however, his lectures can't be found in the book. Take notes! There were four tests and a SLproject each worth 50 points. The tests are multiple choice and essay. He offers extra credit. He is very enthused about his subject. I recommend him!!

If you aren't a marxist, or actually think your political beliefs through at all instead of going for the xeroxed liberal beliefs being championed today, avoid this class at all costs.
