Keep in mind most of these comments are from YEARS AGO. I am taking the course Fall 2010. ONLY TAKE THIS COURSE IF YOU HAVE GOOD LEVEL OF GERMAN. you will FLOUNDER if you have 1100. tim is nice but TERRIBLE. super disorganized and WebGen is SO STUPID. Exams SUPER HARD.

Tim is a super nice guy, but a TERRIBLE prof. Maybe at a 3000+ level, but 1500 is the most ridiculous class I am taking this semester. Super disorganized, exams WAY TOO HARD, and has no idea whats going on. Entire class has rebelled and we are prepared to do poorly. Also refuses to explain concepts.

Great teacher. Responds to e-mail very quickly and often has assignments and tests returned withing one or two classes. Sometimes gets off on some odd topics. Easy to approach for help and always willing to go over unclear topics. His class was a lot of fun, I never expected to laugh so much in a University class. Highly recomended.

Great teacher, made learning German a breeze. Very knowledgeable and funny in a quirky kind of way. To the guy who commented on his accent, his German is clean so learn what you are talking about. Great prof, great class, highly recommend.

Dr. Pope is amazing! We laugh hard every class, we are pushed to learn, and he works at the level of his students. 1500 seems to be more difficult for students who are coming in from the German 30 track, but don't let that stop you from taking this course.
