I had a bad high school chem experience and swore never to take college chem. I made it all worthwhile. Fabulous teacher - seems a bit abrasive if you don't take the time to get to know him. Helpful, brilliant, humorous, explains everything very well. Great teacher overall. Hope you're happy at your new university Dr. Lafrenz!

Besides the fact that he makes fun of you for asking questions in class, he is a decent teacher. Nevermind the bleached hair and earring.

A truly gifted teacher-he can take even a dull subject like Electrochemistry and make it fun. His class was demanding, but he is a humorous and extremely helpful teacher. He is truly a "student's professor" for his ability to relate well with st

I had him for lab and he's an awesome teacher. He explained things that we "learned" in lecture, and explained them to where I could understand them. Very hard teacher, but worth it. He's leaving Fall 2004 anyway..too bad. We're gonna miss a goo

Like the others have posted, this is not going to be an easy class, in fact it is one the hardest freshman courses one can take here at APSU. But after you finish the semester, you will have confidence in your knowledge of Chemistry. I highly recommend!

This is the most difficult class I have ever taken. However, Dr. Lafrenz is the best professor to take. He makes it fun and entertaining and teaches the material very thoroughly.
