Really accessible out of class. Always willing to help. The class is tough if you have never taken a logic course before. Still, he makes each class lecture clear.

Really smart guy who grades tough and accurate and is there for you when you want to know why things went sideways. He is honest and forthcoming in a refreshing way. I've taken three courses with him. Show up having read the material (he gives guidelines on what to look for) and you will do well. Three 8 page papers & once a week 1-2 pagers.

He is one of my favorite professors at Trinity! I've taken four of his courses. He articulates and explains things in a way that everyone can understand. He engages students in class discussions in a constructive, but laid back manner. He makes philosophy approachable. I'm in love with him. He's brilliantly sexy!

One of my favorite professors at Trinity. Probably the most organized teacher, grader, and lesson planner I have ever witnessed. The guy is probably a genius, but he is by no means supercilious to those who do not rival his intellectual capacity. Do the readings, ask questions, engage with the class, and you will almost certainly do fine.

Prof. Ryan made philosophy of logic a breeze. He clearly explained the material and was able to answer student questions well and often. He was relaxed but professional and taught well. One of my favorite classes this semester.

Logic is a disproportionately hard course. The readings are incomprehensible. Professor offers review sessions, but he is a boring person. Class is empty after the final paper is asigned.

An extremely understanding, laidback professor who nonetheless refuses to suffer those who try to take advantage of him. Intelligent, very clear, very funny, and easygoing. Classes with him are a lot of fun.

"husserl was strangely silent on the duck-rabbit" TR is very funny and very smart, he actually cares about students and i dont think he'd ever fail anyone. students that take his classes tend to not do the reading though because the information is so thoroughly covered in class, this can be good and bad...very reasonable amount of reading assigned

having graduated from that place, I can only say that ryan should read up on the history of philosophy - his knowledge of kant is really poor, probably also because he does not know any german

Excellent philosophy professor. I suppose "easiness" depends heavily on the material and the student's natural ability to take to it, but I found him to be very generous with grading across the board.

Very clear, and very helpful. The work is a fair load from my experience. I took Logic and Descarte to Hume. Logic is by its nature a tough course, but very rewarding, and Ryan teaches it well. In Des-Hume, he did an excellent job of explaining concepts.
