Gavigan is very helpful. This class was really easy because he took about ten times as long to explain everything as we really needed him to. He does lots of examples in class and the tests are just like the examples he does.

This is my 2nd time taking Gavigan's class, and I didn't like him as much this time around. All he did in class was do a problem, and not answer questions very well. If you want help with the class, make an appointment with him, he's a lot better with private sessions.

I have also had him for MCHT 111, 112 (the lab, when offered), MET 206, MCH T 213, AND MET 210W. I credit a large portion of my engineering education to professor Gavian. Semi-old school, clear, and shows many examples. Will make an effort to help students. High textbook use. Textbook selections are excellent. WARNING: Monotone voice!

This was a very tough class. He was very monotone when he taught, which made the class boring. His exams were considerably difficult, he was pretty hard with the partial credit. I like Gavigan, but this class wasn't taught very well.

Mr. Gavigan was an excellent professor, he taught the subject matter in an understandable way, was readily available after class for any questions, and overall a great guy. His classes are very relaxed and easy-going as well. Highly recommended for any class that your major requires!

Easy! Not very helpful...you do have to help him. I did electrical homework in his class because you do not need to pay attention since what he says is right from the book, so you can basically just read the book and learn just as much.

This guy is so boring, he spent 5 minutes in the computer lab explaining the difference between Save and Save As. He never says when assignments are due, no clarity on grades. He is very poor at autocad, if you have a question he usually cant answer it.
