Comment:
Hyclak is the man to choose if you know how to study, are not too interested in economics, and want an easy-ish A. Tests are easy multiple choice with a few short answers almost identical to the in class problems he gives. Study activity sheets, textbook and you're set.

Comment:
Hyclak is getting a lot of hate on here. He is kind of boring to listen to and most people sit on their computers and don't pay attention. Beware, he calls on people based on a random number generator, so always be ready to say something. He makes awkward jokes that are kind of funny. Very smart guy who loves macro.

He focuses more on macroeconomics and less on microeconomics. Participation and attendance can increase your grade substantially although they are not mandatory, believe me!

Comment:
Sitting through long lectures can be a bore but Hyclak is a great guy. Not too demanding of a professor, the hw and in class exercises are sort of optional and only count for completion - the more of them you do, the less your tests are weighted (so they only can help). He reuses many test questions so just practice old questions and read to study.

Hyclak is an okay professor. His course is extremely boring, but you get points for attending lecture. First two exams aren't bad, its easy to confuse yourself though. Recitation is a joke but the TA is pretty chill. Expect to read on your own. He also gives 3 questions prior to lecture which you answer online.

This class is very manageable. There is a lot of material to cover so the reading can seem extensive. He does not give very elaborate lectures, but he does use current news to make connections between theory and practical/real situations.

Hyclak isn't always the most interesting but he is a great guy and he explains the information really thoroughly and well. I learned a ton from this class, you just have to make sure you go to class and do your best to pay attention. tests are super fair if you study

You may nod off in class, but Hyclak is a nice guy that gives a relatively easy class... until the final.

Hyclak isn't the most inspirational lecturer, and a lot of people skip class. That is a bad call, since participation is a big part of your grade and he covers the concepts very well. Tests are difficult, but he is generous with partial credit. I learned a lot.

Lecture is a bit dull and irrelevant but there's information to be learned. The textbook guides the tests and if you understand major points (like change in interest rates and their effects) you'll do well. Read the textbook and take notes.

Prof Hyclak is a little hard to pay attention to but it really benefits you if you listen to him. Very knowledgeable about economics. That being said, reading the textbook is still a necessity to fully understand the material. First 2 exams are easy. Final is a tad bit harder. To study, view all the PDFs and handouts he sends out and read book.

His lectures are pointless, I would sometimes read the textbook before class and I felt like I sometimes knew more than he did. He is a very nice guy, but not a good professor.

He's boring as hell and retrospectively his class is useless to attend. Read the book and do the online quizzes and you'll ace the class.

Pretty boring lectures, makes you want to fall asleep. But if you sit in the front, he will learn your name quickly, he loves students that make an effort and participate. Really nice, like a cute grandpa.

Every Friday there's a quiz and a one to two paragraph essay due. His lectures are EXTREMELY boring and useless. Read the textbook and you'll be fine. Hyclak's exams are all multiple choice so that's a plus.

One of the most straight-forward classes here at Lehigh. Show up because attendance is mandatory and could make or break a letter grade. His classes are not the most interesting to listen to, so be prepared to get most of your notes from your textbook. Above all else, Hyclak is a very approachable man and is willing to help you outside of class.

He knows his stuff, but doesn't teach to his tests. You'll learn what is the most important stuff to know in recitation. Attendance is mandatory. Although the class is easy, if you want an A, don't skip any classes or recitations because you'll lose points.

He's a nice enough guy but his lectures are essentially useless. He overcomplicates the material and the way he presents it isn't necessarily the way you need to know it. You are much better off just learning out of the textbook but unfortunately attendance is mandatory. The tests were fair, if not easy.
