If you show up, this class is a breeze. I looked at the textbook maybe twice only to look back over material I didn't have enough time to write down. Despite being a big lecture, he hosts review Q&A days, /and/ puts a pre-test online. Seriously, bother showing up, and you'll be rewarded.

The class and material are easy enough but Schroeder is annoying and on a power trip. He has extremely detailed, useless rules, doesn't post powerpoint and gets off on the thought of people failing his class. It's a 100 level course and my whole 4 years at Miami I've never had a professor I disliked more.

He is sarcastic and does mock people for sitting in the back rows. I never opened the book and attended most classes and get A's. His classes are all powerpoint, take notes, pass test. Very clear on directions and tells in advance what will be on tests. Seriously, all you have to do is show up, take notes, and you'll pass. No brainer.

Ok, so this class wasn't difficult. If you went to all of his lectures, you would have a basic understanding of the material, but I would suggest reading the book if you're looking for an A. Also, he gives you the option to do a regular grading scale or straight grades... do the regular grading scale, its less stressful.

go to class and you'll be fine. he's sarcastic but that's better than a boring teacher. he doens't post notes online, and i'd suggest sitting in the 1st 5 or 6 rows. It's really not that bad of a class and i hate science.

He's sarcastic. But, class was harder than I expected. He makes fun of you if you sit in the back row of lecture, so avoid that. If you don't go to class your liable to miss information he only gives out in class that will be on the exams, so it's better to go. Overall, probably the most least time consuming science class to take at Miami.

Anyone who finds this class hard obviously doesn't go to class. If you just go to class and take notes, and look over the textbook the night before the exam, you will do fine. Yes, he makes sarcastic comments if you ask a question about something he clearly went over many times. But honestly, his sarcasm and jokes make the class enjoyable.

This professor is awesome! His tests are easy if you go to class everyday and pay attention. I only studied for about an hour the night before each exam and I totally fine. If you want an easy Miami Plan course, take this one.

Professor Schroeder was one of the best instructors I had at Miami University. He is a great pilot and a dedicated teacher of the aviation sciences. I am glad to have known and been a student of Tom's. GO to class, work hard and be willing to learn and you will get the A. Be lazy and don't show up for class and fail. This is the real world folks.

Just go to class and youll do amazing. All you have to do is takes notes on what is on the overhead and what he says. He makes the class simple for those that go to class regularly. If you miss class, get notes because the tests come straight from the notes.

this guy sucks. he loved to call people out and embarass them. the class is boring as hell and i could barely stay awake through it. hes just generally rude dude, this lecture seems real simple and straightforward then the day before the test he'll tell you to learn all this complicated stuff and systems from the book. dont take it

WORST CLASS I'VE TAKEN YET. All he does is tell you stories about his life, and frankly, I really didn't want to hear about that when I woke up to be at his 8am class. Review sessions are pointless because there's always stuff he didn't cover. He doesn't have a Phd so it's kind of hard to take him seriously when you pay so much for him to teach you

Great Miami plan class. Show up and take notes. Make sure to attend class the day before exams, Schroeder essentially goes through the test and tells you what there are questions about. Study these topics and an A is very achievable.

By far the worst professor that I have ever had. Easy class but he is so annoying. He makes comments that are offensive and has completely meaningless article assignments that a 2nd grader could do(3-4 sentence summary of an artcile), and he takes off points if the format is off in anyway whatsoever. I HATE TOM SCHROEDER. I hope he reads this.
