Dr. Weis is one of the smartest professors I've met at MU. She cares so much about her students and their learning! Don't take this class if you arn't going to do the assignments or come to class.

HIST 105 was the hardest class I've ever had to take and I considered switching majors because of it. Dr. Weis assigned some sort of writing assignment every single class with little to no instruction and I was stressed constantly. BUT, if you go to her office hours she will do everything in her power to help you out. She's a really sweet woman

I love Dr. Weis, one of the smartest women I have ever met. Contours of US History was the hardest class I have had to date. Homework was overwhelming, but I had met my best friend in that class over our overwhelming struggles of completing the grueling, frequent 50 question learnsmarts, so I would do it all again:) 10/10

Co-taught history 105. She was very helpful and funny. Welcomed students from the other professors half of the class to see her for help if the other professor had a class when you needed help. Provided good feedback and used humor to lighten the mood at tough times. Supports her students well and helps whenever possible. Amazing

I took Dr. Weis' hist250 course. It was tough in the beginning, but got easier once you get the hang of how she give assignments. Expect to write A LOT, manage your time wisely if you plan on taking her. Overall, lectures were very interesting to me, and she gives lots of room for discussion. Easy to talk to.

Quite possibly the most ridiculous professor I've ever had. She's biased to an absolute fault, & if you disagree with her, you're doomed. The level of work required for her 100 level class was disproportionate and unacceptable. The favoritism and lack of clarity are a massive turn off. Do NOT take a class with her if you can avoid it.

I absolutely love Dr. Weis! I took her for craft and contours of U.S. History and i plan on taking her again next semester. When you first start class with her directions are usually not clear, but that is how she helps you grow. She has made me an amazing historian. When you take a class with her your writing skills will improve 100%.

I've only been in this class for 5 weeks and I'm already more behind in this class than any class I've ever taken. She's passionate about what she does, but the amount of work she expects weekly is INSANE. It's impossible. Most likely going to have to drop the course to avoid an F on my transcript.

Dr. Weis is very passionate about what she teaches and I would recommend her to anyone. I took her Women's History course and loved every bit of it. Interesting, lots of class discussion, and lots of writing (all things I look for in a course). Easy to talk to her outside of class and flexible with scheduling. Awesome!

Amazing professor who knows her stuff! This is also a writing intensive course so get ready to write something for every class. Textbook is NEEDED to get by this class. Very tough grader, but she helps you improve your writing. She's very caring and well respected as well. She takes attendance every class (you sign in). Love the course!

This was one of the toughest classes I have ever taken. She is lovely woman but a horrid professor. She had us write over 16 papers for Craft of History. You will be in a state of panic all semester. I did all the work and managed to pass with flying colors. If you don't do EVERYTHING she asks of you, you will not pass.

In a 100 level class she gives more homework than I had time to complete. I had perfect attendance and did not do well in the class. She grades hard and does not explain assignments well. Would not recommend to anyone. Ever.

Professor Weis is extremely nice, but some people are not meant to teach. She expects everyone to know what they are doing and does not explain really anything at all. You will have to write AT LEAST 2 papers a week for her class, and these papers will have no guidelines to them... but when she grades them, she'll grade them like there were

I found this class to be confusing and a waste of time; it is disorganized beyond belief! Be prepared to write two page papers with sources for only ten points each. Beware of tutorials, and long, drawn out assignments for too little points. Professor Weis is very nice, but I will not be taking another class instructed by her again.

Dr. Weis is someone who I am so glad I had my first semester. She's so kind and is there for you whenever you need her and will help you to the best of her ability in any subject. She allowed us to explore American history on our own and really develop our own ways of thinking. Cannot wait to take another class with Dr. Weis

I am a history major and I will not be taking another class with Dr. Weis. The class was unorganized and confusing. There was absolutely no understandable progression of women's history in America. Expectations for assignments were not discussed and as a result student grades suffered. Gradingfeedback was delayed until the week before the final.

I am a history major, I've taken nearly every history class offered at MU, but I had not taken one with Dr. Weis until this semester. Now I regret that I did, her assignments are horrific, she doesn't explain any requirements for them and barely even seems to know what she's doing. I barely learned anything at all from her in the time I was there.

This professor is extremely unclear. Every reading is posted on D2L. The problem is that she does not post the readings after class; the are posted the next day/the day before they are due. In addition she does not give out rubrics for papers. I find her unclear and unorganized. For our final paper, she added specifications AFTER I wrote it.
