Professor Peake is a very good professor. As long as you do your work, dont complain, & are respectful, she will help you the best she can. She skips over a lot of the junk some other professors go over so thats a plus. She is semi-retired so she is only on campus one day a week so try and get her while u can. She is one of the best TECM professors

I had no interest in this class what-so-ever when I signed up, however, Prof. Peake quickly became one of my favorites! Don't be so scared of her the first day. She comes in acting tough, but it's just, I guess, her sense of humor. I thought she was a very sweet lady who only had an interest in helping her students succeed. Absolutely wonderful!

If you have not had 2700, do not take Peake. She expects you to know the basics so she does not review. She is more concerned with things being pretty to look at vs. technically correct. I made an A, but learned absolutely nothing new.

I had Ms. Peake for all three of my advanced tech writing classes. When I had her for the first one, I wanted to take her classes again! Yes, she is demanding, but one thing the other comments didn't mention was that her group projects are usually from an actual company in the DfW area. A class with Peake will actually give you something for your resume. And that is precisely what help me get my job. Yes, you grade will suffer if you don't come to her EARLY when you have a problem.

Peake is the teacher to take if you have to take a tech writing class! She is a lot of fun and she will tell you what she wants and encourages you to ask questions if need be. Also, the tech writing lab is extremely useful and all the TA's in there know Peake and what she wants! TAKE HER!

Excellent Professor! She does grade hard, but she gives you examples of what she wants. She is easy to talk to and always willing to help students out. You can tell shes just not their for the paycheck. She actually cares for her students and she teaches stuff that will be used in the business world. Great Professor!

I agree that we didn't really learn anything. 2 projects and 2 grades. The project was fun, but the manual not so much. I think Peake is a kick ace prof, though, since she talked to us like people and didn't just drone on 80 minutes twice a week. She's not the typical prof, and that's why I thought the class was great.

Professor Peake has an interesting personality and is fun to talk to, but her grading policy seems a little unfair. Half of your grade is based on a group project that takes up the whole semester, and the other half is a 15 page front and back manual that you have to write. She is a little tough on grading too. I don't feel like I learned anything!
