Prof. Barlow is in my top 3 ranking of professors that I've had throughout my 6 years at Purdue. His humor adds a lot to what can be otherwise dry material. He brings his many years of experience and expertise into lectures, which adds insights that won't be found in the textbook. Go to class, he does the project for you. Summer is a great time.

Enjoyed class. Lectures not required but does make them somewhat interesting. TA for Fall 2018 were great. Lab is relatively straight forward.

you don't have to go to lecture to pass, all of the tests are posted on blackboard as "old exams" so just study those and the quizzes and you'll get an A. Show up to class the last week when he talks about how to do the milestone because he basically does it for you.

Professor Barlow has got lecturing down to a science. He knows how to keep the attention of his students. The material is very dry but with his use of humor and "tasteful vulgarity" the lectures are very enjoyable and his lectures I looked forward to the most. The exams are just simple book material and labs are straightforward.

Barlow is AMAZING. Hes hilarious and is a really good lecturer. Attendance ISNT madatory, however, you will not pass if you dont go to class. If you go over the past exams and the quizzes that were done before the current exam, you will do fine. Barlow is a great guy if you get to know him. He also teaches 380 so you will have him again.

He is very sarcastic and he enjoys when you laugh at his jokes. I would highly encourage sitting in the front row and going to office hours if you ever need help. He tends to favor these students. If he gets to know you, it's a great thing. He may seem a little mean and grouchy at first, but you just have to break his shell.

Great professor. Loves to give life lessons. Easy B but if you work a little hard getting an A is not too hard to receive. Be wary of the online resources you use for the quizzes. Also, review past exams before taking an exam -- IT HELPS. Regardless, exams aren't too hard, just basic book material, terms, etc. Go to class, Barlow is GREAT.

Victor Barlow is an incredible professor. His lectures are never dry, and his attitude is always remarkable, even at 7:30 in the morning. Barlow will be completely honest with anything that is asked. So long as you show up for lectures, and complete the tasks he assigns, the class is an Easy A with him. I highly recommend this professor.

I have taken CNIT 180 with Mr. Barlow and now 380; he is a very passionate professor. To all 180 students, this professor truly cares about your success. Dedicate time for his 380 class and he will reward you all greatly. He offers life advice as well as professional career advice. His lectures are serious, straight to the point style.

At first this class may seem challenging at first but it's an easy A. He's gonna give you some speech on how you should read your book and study hard for the exams, but in reality if you look over the previous exams it's almost identical to the multiple choice you'll get, same wording and all. Just go to class, lab, and look at past exams.

Yes, you have to come to class and pay attention, he isn't the type to throw out A's Oprah style, but you will actually learn the material and work for your grade. He is hilarious by the way.
