This teacher needs to retire. She is extremely disorganized and her grading is arbitrary. I went from getting an A on a paper to a B- with no real justification. She goes off on tangents and frankly wastes my time in class. She should not be a teacher. I've never been more frustrated in a class in my life.

NEVER take a course w/ Ginny Polanski. She assigns pointless busywork and is the least helpful/available professor I've ever had. Give suggestions or an opinion only to have it dismissed. Grades are all subjective and the class is not about the correct way to write/use grammar, but how SHE would do it. Tenure should be revoked ASAP. A monster. UGH!

Virginia Polanski is one of the worst professors I have had in my 4 years at Stonehill. She has no classroom plan, her tests are not valid, and she cannot answer any questions that her students throw at her. In her classroom you will experience extreme frustration with her lack of teaching ability.

1 word: Picky! Does a lot of writings with a lot of unclear directions. She doesn't grade fairly either. At times I wonder what she does when she grades. She hits your with a lot of criticism. But other than all those negative things about her, she really isn't that bad? She is willing to help you when you need it. Her door is always open!

This isn't the most exciting professor, but she's really nice, and if you try youll learn something. As to her playing favorites, she absolutely does not. I disagree with her 2-3 times per class and still got an A.
