It's difficult to describe someone so idiosyncratic in just a few words. What I can say is that I highly recommend to everyone even remotely inclined towards the French language, to take a course with him. They say that professors can make or break the learning experience, and he certainly exceeds the "making" requirements.

The sweetest, kindest, most effective prof you could ever meet. He will go above and beyond the call of duty to help you. He's a lovely person with a great sense of humour. Very knowledgeable and genuinely wants his students to succeed. I cannot speak highly enough about Vittorio; I simply adore the man. Its been an honour studying with him.
