Overall, not a bad prof. Goes quite fast so we (most of the time) finish early. Assignments, midterms and exams are not too hard.

This guy is hilarious, especially when he roasts students on occasion. He's also quite a good instructor.

I didn't learn anything from this guy. I had to spend lot of time teaching my self stuff from the textbook. In class he just does examples straight out the textbook. For which we already have the solutions. So it doesn't really help. Sadly, he is most likely the best prof for the course. Good thing the textbook is written exceptionally well.

He is really good at teaching advanced courses. If you are well prepared, then he could be the best math prof you've ever seen. The only con is sometimes he could not control his pace so we finished early for several lectures, I think he could cover more stuff for this course.

Definitely knowledgeable and did a very good job motivating us to learn those abstract staff. Be prepared, review your notes before class, otherwise you would get lost. Assignments and exams are quite easy. He is a tough marker, so make sure that you write all details.

He's a really good prof - always prepared and his classes were structured really well. I never got lost in his proofs and although it's a difficult course, he makes it as understandable as possible.

If you are well prepared for the class and are confident of yourself, he could be the best prof. He assumed everyone to be smart when he start his class, so he is good at teaching advanced courses. He is a tough marker, but the exams are fair.

A great prof. Genuinely interested in his students' well being and is really helpful. Every time I went to ask him for help (including right on the due date), he was really considerate and explained things thoroughly and respectfully(including when I asked him really basic questions from first year). Would definitely recommend taking his class!

not very good at helping when you don't understand something.all of his class examples are the textbook examples with step by step solutions, which is useless

This guy is really smart. He can teach you mathematics very well if you are properly prepared. However, if you are not confident, beware. What he thinks of those around is easily read; many students have found this very objectionable. He probably should be kept far, far away from most undergrads. With warning signs posted.

Good teacher, boring material but he did his best with what he had. Hard marker on tests but if you do the optional homework it's very easy. Hard midterm, easy final.

The course itself is easy algebra. This prof is a horrible marker. He only read half my test. Absolutely go to another professor.

Notes were impossible to read and all over the place. Made it impossible to study. His notes were the theorems straight from the text, it would've been nice if he'd thrown in some more practical examples as well. I would recommend sitting in in another lecture if you get him.

Has high expectations for the students, but this is a fourth year honours math course so those are warranted (it might not be with, say, the engineering math course he is also teaching this term). A little quiet, but it's a small class(room) so that's not an issue. Also has a somewhat bizarre sense of humour.

Awesome prof! His online notes were one of the most helpful resources I have ever had for any course, and all the material was covered as clearly as possible. His office hours were well timed and he was quite helpful during them.

Best teacher I've ever had. Challenging, but he presents the material in a very clean, logical manner. Also somehow manages to cram the most material in a semester of any prof I've ever seen - and it never feels rushed.
