Wally is absolutely amazing. Taking a class with him is a total joy. He is engaging, intelligent and clearly cares about the class and his students. My writing has grown immensely with his help. I'm so happy to have had the privilege of being his student.

Wally is one of the nicest men I know, and is the reason I became committed to being a Classics major! He somehow managed to fit a thorough explanation of material, homework review, and interesting facts about Greek language/culture into each 50 minute class! He is extremely caring and easy to talk to. His explanations of material are exquisite.

Wally's class was a disappointment. Certain students are favored by him, and interesting, they are all women. Wally will give you extensions if you oversleep deadlines if he likes you, but shows no mercy if you are one of the less fortunate ones he picks on. He clearly lets his biases get in the way of his teaching. Thumbs down.
