Great guy, always helpful and friendly. Wants you to succeed, and will help when he can. Essays are hard, but infrequent. I didn't use the book either. Loads of information, 3-6 pages of notes per day.

Walt is the best History teacher I have had at Grossmont! He is very straight forward w/ what he expects. Essays are required throughout class, and the final is two essays u complete outside class. don't buy book. Lectures can be boring but he does his best to keep it interesting! Take Him!!!!

Walt is great! He really knows his stuff & makes class easy. He wants the class to be successful so after we all did bad on first test and good on our essays he made the final 2 essays so we would do well. Take short term class, don't buy book just take good lecture notes, write key terms, I got a B

Great teacher, clear, accomadating, easy to talk to in every way. He does have a lot of information in his class, but it is due to the time frame of history given him, not his choice.Easy to talk with as well. Makes you think and learn. essays. GREAT!

The class was ALL book work and lecture. It's SO fast paced. A whole culture in 2 class periods. He speaks in monotone which is usually hard to follow. He's a nice guy, but has the "new teacher" syndrome.

This was the best class I took all semester. His class made me see the world in a different way. The tests were a tough but the essays were easy.
