funny guy, be prepared to have pop quizzes if three or more people didn't read the assigned reading. Not too many grades, only have a midterm and final.

Easy class great teacher. Hard to find professors as educated in their areas without being stuck up about it. He's really funny, makes class entertaining. That being said, you have to write a few papers but it's nothing really difficult. You have to do the readings and be able to talk about it. If 3 ppl in a row don't read, you get a quiz.

Professor Perry is amazing! I learned so much from this class. There is a lot of reading , so don't take this class if your not ready to work. The midterm and final are the only grades for the class, and he's a tough grader. Professor Perry is a very passionate teacher and cares about the students success.

Truly loved this professor. He is one of the most student respecting professors out there. Keep up with your reading and class will pass by like nothing. The midterm and final require a good amount of writing but he lets you bring in notes. Uses profanity which unlocks comfort with the students and lets students express their opinions.

Dr. Perry's class was terrible, although he was entertaining it was near impossible to do well in, and with only a midterm and a final you couldn't be sure of your grade until it was over. This could have been a good class but he is by far my least favorite professor thus far in college.

Dr. Perry is a real genuine guy. Class was interesting and Dr. Perry was really passionate about sharing his work and colleagues work. You read articles about different cultures, species, evolution, etc. About 2-3 articles per class day. Articles are just the right length. Enjoyed the class until he promoted white supremacy and democratic agenda.

Absolutely one of the worst professors I have ever had. You must read 3-4 articles before every class. He plays favorites. If you didn't read the articles you'll be completely lost when he goes over them in class. Much harder then an into class should be. Only 2 grades in the class, the midterm and final. Extremely strict attendance policy.

There is only a midterm and a final. If you do not read the material or pay attention in class you will not pass. He only gives lectures and they are very boring.

Great professor, especially for a class of over 200. His lectures were interesting & he's really passionate about anthro. He was very helpful outside of class & encouraged everyone to come to his office hours. The only thing I didn't like about the class is that there was only a midterm and a final but participation & attendance boosts grade.

He has an amazing spirit and loves what he does. Super funny, but a tough grader. Only official grades are the midterm and final, does pop quizzes on the reading, but gives many opportunities for extra credit throughout the semester. Attendance is not mandatory but definitely needed for passing. Highly recommend taking him for this course.

I did not like this class whatsoever. There are only two grades and that is the midterm and final, also, he isn't the best when it comes to helping. If something is on the exam he wouldn't tell us what the answer was but we would have to find it ourselves. Also, the amount of reading to be done is impossible.

In a class of over 200 kids, Dr. Perry works hard to make people included. He gives credit to people who consistently answer questions in class, so a B on an exam can still mean an A. It is hard and the exams are difficult, but you learn valuable information. He is always available and is worthy of respect and good conversation.

He is a wonderful, caring professor with a lot of knowledge to pass on. You definitely have to read to pass his class because only there is only a midterm and final but gives many opportunities for extra credit and gives exam questions ahead of time. Highly recommend taking him.

Only midterm and final - all based on outside 1200-1400 pages of reading articles, a book, and one other textbook. The lecture will not go over any of the readings -so if you don't read- F, if you read half of it- F if you read all but don't take notes-F if you read all of it and don't memorize deal of it -F. 200 students by the end only 60.

Please Read: Only two exams based on over 1200 pages of : reading articles, two textbooks, and a book (You have to take notes on all of it yourself).Lectures will not teach you anything about the readings, he just asks random questions with volunteers. Attendance is recorded, more than 3 means letter grade subtracted.

Sucky class. Way to much reading. If you plan on being an anthropologist it may be a good class, perry seems very knowledgeable. However, do not take it to satisfy a international study credit or you will reget it. In short, do not take this class unless you have to.

He is a great guy who is funny, cares about his students and his topic, and will help you out if you need it. As long as you show up to class and participate in his discussions about the assigned readings, and even joke around with him a bit your sure to get a good grade.
