Comment:
Dr.B provides a disconnected lecture atmosphere where he simply writes down everything he says on his yellow legal pad. Although he is incredibly knowledgeable, understanding for any hands on or interactive style learners is difficult. Do as much pre class preparation as possible. Very simple and easy content made difficult and hard to understand.

Bosma cares so much about helping his students succeed. He will know your name even though its a lecture class full of students. But, he tells you WAY more information than you need to know. Every lecture consists of taking notes for the entire 50 mins, so its a bit boring at times. Dont skip class because there are daily quizzes!

Wayne Bosma is a good teacher, it is the material that is really tough. Definitely go to office hours at least once he'll remember your name and he won't forget it! He's extremely nice and often gives extra office hours.

Comment:
Dr. Bosma is the best Chemistry professor at Bradley University. In this class, a significant amount of the grade comes down to tests. After every test, my class had the second highest test scores. This was because of the Honors Program class which selects some of the top students. CHM 110 is a hard class but Bosma will get you through!

He is one of the sweetest people that I have ever met! He genuinely cares about the student's well being and is willing to talk about things unrelated to chemistry. The class itself is a bit tough because he gets so excited that he doesn't always cover all the material. The class was tough (partially because I don't like chem) but he is amazing!

Dr. Bosma is one of the most challenging, yet rewarding professors I have had in my time at Bradley. He's a brilliant man and he knows what he's talking about. A lot of notetaking during class is required, and the quizzes are difficult. However, this system of teaching yields great success for the exams if you work hard. Nice guy w/ dry humor too.

470 is a hard class even no matter where it is or who teaches it. Bosma makes it manageable. If you have any questions just go talk to him, always happy to see you and eager to help.

Professor made an otherwise boring class somewhat manageable and cares about you. I was absent once and he noticed, even in a lecture hall. He wants you to do well but won't let you slip by just by showing up.

Worst professor I have ever had. Does not field question because he is too busy writing every word that comes out of his mouth on his legal pad. Does not thoroughly explain examples or content. If you ask him to explain something chances are he will skip around your question and you will end up more confused than before.

Do NOT take CHM 300 if you think it's going to be an easy, blow-off class. You will still have to study and there is a lot of chemistry involved.

Bosma is a SUPER nice guy but can be confusing. He writes with the class and literally writes EVERYTHING he says. It can be tedious sometimes. It's difficult to keep up with him and actively pay attention to what he is saying because you are so focused writing everything down. Expect A LOT of writing.

Dr. Bosma is a really great guy and presents the material in an easy way to study since he writes the notes with you. If you study your notes every night for about 15 minutes and actually work through the mastering chem assignments an A is not out of the question.

I loved Dr. Bosma as a prof! Class is well paced -not too fast. The notes are clear because he writes them with you, making it easier to study from them. He is ALWAYS willing to help you out and answer questions. I went to his office hours whenever I had even a small question. Take Dr. B! Disclaimer: You have to actually go to class to do well.

Dr. Bosma is a nice person, but does not present his material in a way that is comprehensible. After numerous tutor sessions, online help, 4am study sessions, and group/book work, I still could not pass his exams. The quizzes are also quite impossible. This class is the definition of a "weed-out" class. He was open to help during office hours.
