Dr. Takacs is a fairly nice guy and a fair professor, but his lectures are boring and very confusing. He is just not a great instructor. Lectures are not that useful for exams, study the text book and read chapters 2-3 times to do well on his exams. Don't ask questions in his class because he is kinda degrading and will make you look stupid

Anyone who does not like Dr. Takacs obviously does not know how to take notes during a normal college lecture. He is a very good teacher, and if you have study skills, the class is not hard at all. He will prepare you with all the information you need, all you have to do is pay attention.

Teacher was very intelligent however talked down to students and taught above the class as though they were trying to earn a PHD. MUST BE ABLE TO TEACH YOURSELF! Missing something he mentions for a split second can cost you. Notes/Powerpoints are not helpful(dont think you can study them and be successful). Read chapters more than twice.

This guy is amazing. He is so smart and is easily the best teacher that I have ever had. He does not teach above the class and maybe these students that say that are just not smart enough to be Biology majors. Maybe they should look for another career.

See, I loved Dr. Takacs. But I do agree...he was wayyyyy too smart to teach such a basic, introductory level class. What you do to do well on his tests though is to take notes right before the exam (which hell give you a study guide) and you HAVE to read the chapters...and take notes yourself.

If you enjoy teaching yourself, take Takacs. Jumps from topic to topic in his lectures, leaving you with a total sense of confusion. His tests are a foreign language, regardless of how long you study. You need one thing to take succeed with this class...LUCK!!!

if you like to read the book for hours a day, study and rewrite notes for additional hours a day and enjoy getting to the test and you still feel like this is a foreign language, take takacs. good luck trying to teach the human anatomy to yourself. because thats basically what you have to do to do.
