Professor Terry is a wonderful lecturer! She invites discussion and encourages critical thinking. I've grown so much in my analytical eye by taking her classes. By far, she's my favorite professor! If you're interested in the Christian tradition and want to know the historical background of the religion, take her class!

Comment:
Wendy is a perfect example of how a religious studies class should be taught. Tough grader, but there are no in-class exams, rather weekly writing responses and a final response. Just make sure to book out enough time to do the readings as well, it helps with understanding the lectures. Nobody takes a religious studies class because they have too!

Wendy is awesome and so knowledgable on a wide array of historical and literary topics. She has unique policies (aka hardly any tests) but that means you must put in that effort in other places. If you're interested in what she's teaching, TAKE HER CLASS! You'll learn so much. The only bad thing is that she hands out a TON of papers in class.

Wendy is honest, funny, passionate and really cool. Participation is important and class mainly involves discussion. There are weekly responses you have to complete. They are short and you choose 5/8 to do. The lowest score is dropped. The final essay is simple. The other 2 assignments include your own short fiction and a poster presentation.

An interesting overview of world religion. It's surprising how much detail was packed into the course, but still suffers from the lack of depth and rigor due to being an intro class. That said, the weekly responses are not free points and you will need to put in the effort to get a good grade.

Professor Terry is an extremely tough grader. She does not have a fast enough turn-around on assignments, so if you are making the same mistake multiple times, you won't know until it is too late. She assigns a lot of reading, but all of it is pertinent to the class. Very discussion based.

If your looking for a professor who loves to teach and is here for her student then Dr. Terry is it! if your looking for units and are not interested in the course description then don't take her class. Dr Terry is very evenhanded when teaching and truly loves to teach! Reading is a must and there is a lot. Worth it if you ask me.

This class was not challenging and very dry. This is an upper division history course treated like a lower division one. She plays documentaries in class. If you need easy history credits, this is your class. The individual project is the only challenge, so start early and it will be a breeze. I was hoping for something a little less standard.

Professor Terry gets an A+ from me. I've never had a professor who is so easy to talk to and so kind. She genuinely cares for her students and is extremely knowledgable. She makes hard concepts easy to understand and intriguing. Take her!!!!! You will not regret it.

I LOVEEEE Professor Terry. She is funny, honest, and so knowledgeable. Her lectures are awesome. She realizes that shoving info down your throat and then testing you isn't the way to learn. She makes class interesting and fun by involving the whole class. I learned so much. By far my favorite professor.

I'm a graduating senior and I've had Wendy as a professor for 4 different Religious Studies classes. She is amazing and brilliant and so engaging. Take a class with her before you graduate; you won't regret it.

This class gose over 1500 years of church history. This is a lot of time to cover but Dr Terry does a great job in get is through it. I would take this class from on their prof. Keys to passing are Dr Terry's class is to READ and go to office hours.

Dr. Terry classes are not hard if you do the reading. She tells you what she is looking for in her responses and papers. If your looking to learn then I highly suggest you taking Dr. Terry's class. If your looking for a prof. that loves to teach then Dr. Terry it! Because of Dr. Terry I want to be a Professor in Religious Studies.

Dr. Terry's lectures were always very animated and interesting. She was always prepared for lectures and I will def take another class with her. Make sure to do the reading and attend lectures and discussions, doing so will get you good grades on the weekly responses (no exams). She is a tough grader, so you have to work for ur grade.

Dr. Terry is truly loves to teach! Her lectures are full of energy and information. She makes you think and helps you grow. I know from taking 3 classes from her and about to take my 4th. If your looking for a easy A, She NOT the Prof for you. But if you want to learn and grow Dr. Terry is the your Prof.

This class is super interesting, and professor Terry is hilarious and very engaging. However, it is a tough class and she is a VERY tough grader. If you are looking for an easy A, DO NOT take this class. I was taking three upper div major classes as well, and this was my hardest class. But if you're okay with a challenge, it's a great class!

My favorite professor at UC Davis, have taken multiple classes with her and signing up for more. Definitely need to work hard in her classes and there is a lot of reading, but her students are her priority and she's very accessible for help in and out of office hours. Super interesting lectures.

Wendy is a true teacher! She loves working with her students. Because of the subject there is a lot of reading. But if you don't understand or want clarity Wendy is ALWAY an email away and or always in her office hours to ask a question. I am an average student who worked hard in Wendy's class to earn an A- . She is by far my fav. Prof!

Class has weekly writing assignments. While short in length, her grading system is not transparent and, quite frankly, nonsensical. Would continuously get B's on the assignments, even though her only comment on them was "Good Job". If it was good, shouldn't I get an A (full credit)? Luckily, I still managed to get an A- in the course.
