Professor Clary is kind and punctual. Makes sure you know the signs. Challenge: He doesn't post grades ever through the semester and has very few tests that are worth 40 and 50%. Recommend meeting early before class to practice with a study group. He cares about his students and is honest and real. Excellent teacher.

Im in ASL 121 and glad to have this class with Bill. We were told we didn't need to buy the book, but everything he teaches is from the book, so it's a MUST. I love his style, sense of humor, and his willingness to help students. The only drawback are the other students. Some are highly disrespectful, don't pay atten and then want him to review!

Dr. Bill is such a knowledgeable instructor. His lectures can get boring because his PowerPoints are out of date & disorganized, but if you get him to lecture from the heart he is really compelling! YOU write 75% of each of the exams, so they're pretty easy if you help yourself by keeping the questions simple.

Dr. Bill is the best! He is very entertaining. He teaches using PowerPoints, but the information is still interesting. His midterms & final are not cumulative, just on certain topics. He is strict about punctuality & attendance, so don't be late. I highly recommend his class. And his interpreters are great.

What's great about Clary, is how much he really wants you to learn. If you don't understand what he's signing, he'll find different ways of explaining until you do. :-]He has more patience than a saint. Classwork & homework are easy, but if you don't stay on top of it, you'll fall behind quick, because it's a HUGE leap from ASL II; very fast-paced.

i AM CURRENTLY TAKING HIS CLASS AND HE IS A REALLY NICE TEACHER. There is practically no homework in his class. He is really easy and very helpful... take his Deaf Culture class as well it really interesting and easy!!!!!

I didn't really like Clary's teaching style. He seems very unorganized and doesn't repeat the material very much, which made class a bit difficult. The content on the exams was ridiculously random sometimes. Don't try on the homework, everyone gets basically the same grade regardless of content. Made me not want to continue with ASL.

Clary is such an awesome teacher. Always welcoming, helpful, and smiling. Very great attitude, willing to work with you. Full of energy and laughter. Class goes by super fast. Very fun. Exams are easy as well. You should definitely take his class.

Bill is freakin awesome. He takes questions for the test straight from the work book. It is basically the comprehension, activities and grammar from each unit. Very simple if you keep up with studying. He shouldn't have to assign us anything, we are adults in college and should know what are responsibilities are. So sad he is not teaching ASL 220.

Bill is incredibly nice and a fun teacher. My only complaint would be that he does not prep you for the mid-term and final. He does give a study guide but an inclass review would be so helpful. I would also like more testing throughout the semester to keep us on our toes. I love ASL, but I'm not please with a C.

Bill is a great teacher! He is always cheerful, and ready to help. He is really supportive of his students and obviously wants us to do well. SOME PEOPLE talk loudly while he is lecturing, and take advantage of the fact that he can't always catch them. And YES he does prepare us for the tests, COME ON. He gives us a study guide for crying out loud.

I've taken him twice. Makes class fun and the tests/workload aren't that bad all. Just go to class and you'll get a good grade. If you need to take ASL, I would definitely recommend Clary.

Took him over Summer, he is great. Very nice and always willing to help. Tests are also pretty easy. I would definitely recommend him.
