Comment:
You have to work very hard. If you memorize everything (and I mean everything), most test questions will be pretty straightforward, except for btw 6 & 10 questions on each test that are either tricky or he never taught them. The lab practicals are designed to be unfair. His lectures are disorganized, so read the book for clarification.

You have to go to class & write down every word he says, some seemingly insignificant things show up on the test. Tests are mainly multiple choice, but they can get tricky, so be careful. The bone & muscle lab tests are marked out of 110, which bring ppl's overall grades up a lot, so don't panic if you're not doing so well on tests at first.

I took professor merdian a few years ago, and as a medical student I still use his lessons as a foundation for further anatomy learned. He is funny, clear and is a true master of the material. I loved his stories, accent, jokes, and his lectures were a pleasure to be in. THANKS MERDIAN!

Best class I have ever taken in my life! Every single class was fascinating! Although people say his class is difficult, I found it easy because it was taught so well, there wasnt much studying I had to do on my own time. And it wasnt a burden to study for this class, but a real pleasure!

Take him. Almost everyone of my friends I have spoken to regret not taking him. During the year, he does teach later at night- but he will give you the education and knowledge that you need to succeed graduate health programs. His classroom environment beats the other A&P teachers in Flatbush.

Avoid this teacher, his lectures are confusing, he is difficult to follow, and enjoys making fun of students.

TAKE HIM! Hysterical - great sense of humor - if you dont have a sense of humor you wont appreciate him. If you want to know your stuff you WILL appreciate him... If you know the material its an easy A! Listen in class and take notes and study to UNDERSTAND! He teaches well and cares! RECOMMENDED!

I never wrote a comment before on Rate My Professor, but after taking Professor Meridian's class I had to write something. DO NOT TAKE HIM. He makes fun of and genuinely does not care about his students. His test are tricky and unfair. I wish someone would have warned me before taking his class, as my grades are very important to me.

HE IS SO GREAT!!!!!! I really liked having him over the summer... you must really know your stuff. Straight memorization is not enough- understanding is key for his class. He is funny, and teaches in a very clear understandable way. Don't get offended by his jokes... they really ARE funny!

Incredible teacher. He explains things really well. He does not tolerate nonsense but by now you are in college so be responsible and mature. If you take good notes, and show up to every class, understand the lectures, and study well you should have no problem getting an A. There are easier A profs for A&P but not as good quality as Prof. Merdian
