Since you have to take this class, take it with Rotella. Sweet man who seems to genuinely find pleasure in the little things. Not the most concise person ever but he'll make you smile and tries to make an "a" or "b" attainable for the majority of the class.

Nice guy, 2 take home tests, gives the questions on in class test for studying, talks A LOT about scuba diving, 1 easy group project, and 1 5 page paper. Learned more studying for exams than I did in class, which is boring! But I would take him if you don't know anything about accounting. EASY!

Very nice professor. Helps out whenever he can. If you take the time to get to know him a bit, he will always be on your side. Makes the material extremely easy to understand, and is good natured and enjoyable, especially for an accounting class!

This class was a complete waste of time. Although he is a VERY nice guy and cares about his students, I have learned absolutely nothing, but will get an A in the class. Take home tests, easy paper, but class time is a complete waste. He talks more about himself than the material. If you want to learn, don't take him--- but is good for an easy A.

Very boring class. You will leave without learning much but get a decent grade. Gives extremely detailed reviews and curves like a maniac, though he will say he doesn't. Powerpoints and solutions are e-mailed to you. Very monotonous and dull. Nice guy, boring class. Uses +/- scale which sucks.

I just love the guy! He's a very down to earth man who is a former Marine officer and has two accounting degrees from Stetson. That's pretty damn good stuff in my book. What you see is what you get. Zero tricks. Attend, read, study & expect to get an A or B along with a vastly improved understanding of accounting.

So flipping boring!! 3 hour class, but he only lectures for 2, which is long enough. Doesn't help increase your increase in accounting. He would go off topic a lot and that's when you'd pay attention. Good thing is that he does curves and is very enthusiastic about the class. Tests are hard, however, and the project is useless.

If you're an accounting major planning to take the CPA exam, this is probably not the professor you want to take. If you are looking for an easy A, then Mr.Rotella's the one. He requires that you come to class, but you don't really learn much while there. He is sincere and will try to help you with your questions.

Seemed hard and impossible in the beginning but he made it so easy at the end. I learned a lot but I wasn't stressed out. Stick it out, you'll do fine. I don't know anyone who got less than a B.
