Comment:

Its extremely hard to pay attention in this class, I always found myself dozing off because Dr. Wright talks alot. He gives you the test and quiz questions and the quizzes are a breeze if you study a bit, but the tests are extremely difficult and require a solid 6-7 hours per week to get an A or a B. Smart and respected guy but tought class.

Comment:

I love Dr. Wright! He is super passionate about what he's teaching and he actually tries to make students understand by showing videos or doing weird gestures to imitate biological processes. He provides ALL the quiz and test questions beforehand. He does get off track sometimes and confuses himself every once in a while, but I highly recommend!!

Comment:

Dr. Wright is a very considerate teacher. You have to show up to class to understand some of the material, especially when he talks about something that isn't on the textbook. He gets off topic and is often unorganized, but the material is there and he's always there to help. Wright is also a very enthusiastic teacher, which makes class more fun.

Dr. Wright may be confusing at times, but he actually cares a lot about his students and really wants them to learn. If you put in the effort to see him outside of class, you'll do better in the class. He came off as intimidating in the classroom but after visiting him outside of class for personal issues, he was very caring and understanding.

Super funny but he is very unorganized and he gets off topic a lot. This class has a lot of drawings and he can't draw. If you know the information in the primer you'll be fine. He gives you the questions before quizzes and tests, but so do all the other bio 204 profs. Sometimes he gets confused though and students are often correcting him

Professor Wright is a very nice man and he made 8:30 lecture actually entertaining. However, he is very confusing and often makes mistakes which makes the class even more confusing than it already is. There is a lot of material covered so I recommend studying each week not just before an exam like I did.

Very confusing. He confuses himself as well as the students. Extremely sloppy drawer but expects you to know how to draw everything in detail on the midterm. It becomes very irritating as the semester proceeds. Do not recommend taking him.

Very messy Professor and extremely hard grader. Sweet guy, just a very scrambled Professor. He bases most of his midterms off of his drawings but when he draws the images, they are extremely messy and do not make sense

Dr. Wirght is interesting. He goes off on tangents a lot but overall he delivers the material you will need to know for exams. He's kind of also all over the place a lot. You do have weekly quizzes and the primer is your Bible so make sure you buy that. He's also very specific in his gradings so make sure you practice drawings and have every detail

Professor Wright's lectures can be confusing at times, but he really is an awesome teacher once you get used to his style. He uses the textbook he wrote to teach which is super helpful, and he gives you the quiz questions before taking quizzes. Would definitely recommend.

Worst decision of my life to take Dr. Wright. I Learned NOTHING in marine bio. What a waste of my money- he forgets what he says and doesn't keep promises like grading criteria and due dates. He is too old to be teaching he needs to be out of the classroom. I gave up trying to please him at the end of the semester.

Study the primer. Lectures are reviewing what is in the primer. If you study the questions he gives you, that is exactly what the tests are. Easy class if you memorize the questions.

Great teacher. He gives you all the questions to the tests before hand so memorize his study guides and it's an easy A. If you are having trouble answering a specific question go directly to him or a SI and they will be happy to help (be direct maybe read him the answer u have and ask if that would science full credit). Super easy.

You read from a book he wrote himself called the Primer. Protect this with your life. His lectures are the most confusing. He confuses himself AND the students and does not know how to properly relay information. Tests are filled with drawings. Gives you the wrong answers a lot of times because he forgets what's right. Doable class, but I'd avoid

The class is literally the primer. Know the primer in and out and you will get the grade you want. I never missed a point on any of the quizzes and I found all the answers in the primer

Amazing teacher! Quizzes and test are very easy if you study the study guide. He provides ALL questions that will be on the test! Never any homework! I wish I could take him again. Favorite class! Go to office hours!! Super helpful!

He's really chill and if you read and pay attentions in class you'll do fine. He has a funny personality which is helpful. His tests aren't that bad. You don't use a textbook but you use a book he wrote the "primer."
