This class was very hard, I was unsure if I'd pass all semester. He has a really bad accent and terrible handwriting. Class attendance isn't mandatory, but I recommend you go because he will tell you what will be on the tests. He is a very nice guy, just a really bad teacher. Do the homework, it can get you an easy A and counts as a test grade.

Accent and hand writing can be hard to decipher at times. He knows the material, but has trouble conveying it to students. Basically reads textbook for the lecture. Plenty of examples and goes over hw if needed. Final grade in class is either final exam grade or cumulative grade, whichever is higher. Great guy, average professor

Prof Wu is a fine guy but his accent makes him impossible to understand. He also moves very fast between lectures. His lectures are essentially reading out of the book too theres little point to them. And the things he tries to make clear are blocked by his accent. He also has a very annoying policy on making up tests which is that there are none.

Really good guy but a tough communication barrier. He has a thick accent and writes in sloppy cursive. Wants you to pass and reviews tests with the class a few days before. Usually a homework assignment for every lecture but most are not too long. Maple labs will help your grade a lot. Get ready to study

Dr. Wu is a very caring professor and genuinely wants his students to do well in the class, but I could not understand this man to save my life. You also will not be able to read his hand writing on the black board. He gives a lot of partial credit on exams and tries to help you where he can.

He is very nice, but he doesn't like when students attempt to take advantage of him. Do the work promptly, go to his office with questions, and attend class regularly, and you will be fine come exam time. The material is slightly challenging, especially if you are not familiar with linear algebra, Euclidian geometry, and some algebraic structures.

Dr. Wu gives you the easiest, most basic examples for each lesson, so you think that is all you need to learn. However, when tested, the problems are the hardest of the material. Studying is useless. Terrible handwriting. VERY tough grader. I do not mind math, I ended last year with an A, but I would 100% not recommend him.

Made Attendance mandatory because if you do not attend, you will not pass... Ya can't pass this math class without putting in the work & DOING THE loads of homework he assigned every class. Wu cared about his students... I thought I completely failed my final (50-55% missed) but he gave lost of partial credit to where I made a 79 (what I needed).

Extremely hard professor. Awful language barrier and hand writing barrier. There was no point in going to lectures if you can't understand what he says or writes. Also hard exams and final. Would 100% not recommend to anybody. Such a waste of money

Dr. Wu is by far my favorite professor. That being said, he is not easy. He gives partial credit and never wants you to fail. If your grade on your final is higher than the grade you have in the class, your final grade will just be what you got on the final. So basically if your failing the class you can still get an A. Mathematics is BEAUTIFUL

Can be very hard to understand at times and often uses the phrase "nike, just do it!" which should not be used in a math course. The maple lab which accompanies this course is absolutely pointless . Wouldn't suggest taking this course unless you excel in math and want to be able to skip all of the lectures.

The worst professor I've ever had. Cannot understand him when he speaks and cannot read his atrocious handwriting on the board. His tests are 150% harder than the homework and the TAs are little to no help because they can't understand him either. Even though I took calc in high school, I have to take this class AGAIN because he was so horrible.

He definitely isn't the easiest professor in the world, but I feel like I've learned more from this class than any math class I have ever taken. Calc II is just hard, but Dr. Wu is always willing to help his students.

Professor Wu is a really nice guy but a very difficult professor. There is a definite language and handwriting barrier but he really cares about his students and wants you to pass. Homework was long and graded for accuracy but it helped my grade and understanding. Get ready for Maple Lab too- it sucks but it also helps your grade. Get ready to work

The material can be difficult and his teaching ability is not very good. The way he approaches some of the material is confusing and very different from the book (making it difficult to study). KNOW the material very well, even if you have to learn it on your own, or you will not pass. He is much more helpful in his office than in the lectures.

He assigns homework that takes many hours a week to complete. He has a strong accent that is hard to understand. His handwriting is hard to read. He doesn't explain the information well...I have to teach all of the material to myself. I couldn't get through this class without working on it with other students. Your GPA will take a hit with him.

Professor Wu was interesting. He would take for ages without you having any idea what he was talking about or saying. His notes and lectures were useless too. The way this class works is that you need to do the HW to understand the material and do well on his tests and especially the final and you will pass just fine.
